The Settlers Inn is an authentic 1920′s Arts & Crafts Lodge. This historic Pocono Mountains Hotel has all of the comforts of a Bed and Breakfast with the added convenience of a full service farm-to-table restaurant and tavern. The Inn sits on six acres of land surrounded by artfully designed gardens and bordered by the Lackawaxen River and woodlands that contain a portion of the old Delaware & Hudson Canal.

🎭 Meet the Storyteller: Lara Elizabeth Zelinski

Lara Elizabeth Zelinski is a small-town Scranton native with a big personality. She started singing and acting in grade school and never really left the stage. Some of her favorite roles have included parts in Oliver, Bonnie and Clyde, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Columbinus, and A Christmas Carol.

Over the years, Lara has also transformed into Disney Princesses and other characters for parties and community events. Her passion for creating and supporting accessible art and culture led her to the Scranton Fringe Board of Directors, where she helps bring the annual Fringe Festival to life and supports artists from around the world.

Her special talents include playing piano, singing, a flair for the dramatic, witchcraft, sarcasm, and being an adrenaline ju**ie. 🔮✨
At The Settlers Inn’s Storytelling Dinner, Lara greets guests as they arrive and offers tarot card readings before sharing tales that blend mysticism, folklore, and dramatic readings of well-known macabre poetry. 🕯️📖

We’re excited to welcome Lara Elizabeth Zelinski back as the storyteller for our annual Storytelling Dinner on October 23 & 24. A Scranton native and longtime performer, Lara brings plenty of personality to the evening and will also be offering tarot card readings. 🔮✨
