I’ve turned this key and unlocked this door for 126 days now.

And I don’t think I could have imagined on day one what 1928 Mill House Coffee and Grit and Grace would become for so many people — or for us.

Day after day, familiar faces, new faces, strangers and friends walk through these doors, and this place keeps bringing people together.

We set out to build a place for our community here in the Mill District, and that’s exactly what we’ve done.

We’re unapologetically ourselves. What you see is what you get — two girls who took a leap of faith on an idea, rolled the dice, and built something for the community we love.

You’re not just a number or another face in the crowd. You belong here.

Grab a coffee, wander around, sit for a while, laugh too loud, meet somebody new, or just breathe. This is a place where you’re safe, accepted, and welcome exactly as you are.

And we’ll keep doing everything we can to make it feel like the most carefree, welcoming second home here in the Mill District.

126 days in… and I think we’re building something pretty special here.

Tomorrow at 8AM, we’re about to find out how committed y’all really are to fall.

The Biscoff Pumpkin Latte is dropping — pumpkin, Biscoff, espresso, cold foam and Biscoff crumble on top. It tastes like somebody had the good sense to put pumpkin season and a Biscoff cookie in the same cup.

And apparently Tonia doesn’t understand the phrase “one thing at a time,” so 1706 Candle Company is dropping the entire fall collection too:
candles, wax melts, room spray, incense + mop solution.

So basically you can drink fall, burn fall, spray fall, melt fall, mop with fall and leave here one pumpkin away from needing an intervention.

I’ve been dead a long time.
Even I’m showing up for this one.

Levi would like everyone to know this drink was created for one reason:

He thinks he can outdo me.

Tomorrow he’s dropping a Biscoff Pumpkin Latte because apparently his plan is to take two things people already lose their minds over, mash them together, and call it strategy.

His exact level of confidence is irritating.

It’s good.
Levi says it’s the reason y’all are showing up tomorrow.
Angela is probably tired of both of us.

Anyway — Biscoff + pumpkin + espresso + fall chaos.

Drops tomorrow at 8AM.

Please come buy one so Levi either wins or gets humbled. We’re fine with either.

We’re genuinely so grateful to be nominated 1928 Mill House Coffee for Local Coffee Shop + Customer Service.

And apparently Grit and Grace decided two categories weren’t enough and landed on the ballot for Boutique, Gift Shop, Clothing Store + Specialty Store.

Seriously though — thank you for showing up for both of our businesses the way you do. It means more than we can say without getting weird and emotional.

LEVI: Yesterday Tonia was behind the bar slinging Cherry Bubble Gum Lattes like her life depended on it.

And for every bag of Pop Rocks that went out with a latte, I’m pretty sure another bag went directly into her own mouth.

At one point I stopped trying to figure out whether she was making drinks or personally trying to finish the Pop Rocks inventory.

Watching grown adults dump Pop Rocks in their mouths, take that first sip, and immediately make the “WHAT IS HAPPENING IN MY MOUTH?!” face was absolutely worth it.

💥 POP. SIP. CRACKLE. 💥
