On Sunday, 7/26, we were notified by a part time staff member of ours, who is a Server, tested positive for COVID19. We immediately contacted the Haverford Health Dept. Luckily the night our Server worked it was ALL curbside business, greatly minimizing any personal interaction. Also, important to mention that this employee worked at Vida just one night early last week well before the 48hrs of their visible symptoms - which according to the PA Health Department and CDC guidelines is when other people could of been exposed through transmission. That was somewhat relieving given that we interviewed all 5 members of our full time staff today, all of which have zero symptoms to date and want to keep working, however given our strict internal guidelines because of this pandemic we made the decision to give our staff off for the next 10 days to be tested themselves. Again, none of our Staff to date have shown any symptoms of covid19, however all have been instructed to be tested or they cannot return to work.
Surprisingly, we are not regulated legally to inform the public, however we feel socially responsible to report this given the spike in COVID cases in Delaware County. We don't feel that our decision to close down and force our employees to be tested is excessive, and the great part is they are all willing to partake. We all need to work together to combat these difficult times.
In simpler terms - We'll be back once every employee's test results are in, and we are going to remodel our restaurant a bit focusing on a even safer environment concentrating more on take out and delivery service for the remainder of this year. Please stay tuned for our reopening date.
Stay safe everybody. Thanks for your support since we last reopened in May. We'll be back. ❤️❤️
