And just like that, two more divas have left the building.

Sydney and Beatrice are off on their next adventures, and the barista-shaped hole in our hearts continues to grow.

One of the best parts of Battle Grounds has always been the people who find their way behind our counter. Seasons change, tides shift, people come and go, but the relationships we build here have a way of lasting far beyond these four walls.

At the center of it all is community.

Sydney and Beatrice, thank you for the laughs, the memories, the shifts, and everything you brought to our little corner of Haverhill. We’re going to miss having you behind the bar, but we’re excited to see where life takes you next.

And who knows? Maybe you’ll catch these two on the other side of the counter from time to time.

Just a heads up, Battle Grounds friends!

Our parking situation out front is changing just a little bit. Starting September 3rd through October 2nd, the few parking spots directly in front of the shop will be unavailable while National Grid Gas completes some sidewalk restoration work.

We think the sidewalk already looks pretty good, but apparently they’re not taking our opinion on this one.

The good news is that we’re still open and parking is still available!

You can find street parking just a little further down Washington Street, as well as parking in the lot behind the building.

A little temporary inconvenience, but nothing that’s going to keep us from getting you your coffee.

Community starts with cultivating the next generation.

With school back in session, we’re excited to welcome the little ones into Battle Grounds for Storytime Around Town.

Join us Wednesdays, September 2, 16, and 30 at 10:00 AM for stories, songs, and plenty of fun. The program is geared toward children ages 3 to 5, with siblings welcome.

Registration is required, so be sure to sign up and join us for a morning of reading, imagination, and community. Direct message us to register!

Soup-er September is here, and we’re proud to be part of it.

Haverhill Restaurant Week might be over, but our community is using the opportunity to do something even bigger: help restock our local food pantries.

We’re joining Somebody Cares New England for a community-wide canned soup drive throughout September. If you’re stopping by Battle Grounds or any of the participating businesses, consider bringing along a can of soup, chili, or chowder. Any brand, size, or flavor is welcome.

It’s National Dog Day, so naturally we’re taking a moment to celebrate some of the four-legged members of the Battle Grounds community.

First up, Henry, the our own dog and an honorary member of the team. He may not clock in behind the bar, but he’s definitely part of the family.

And then there are all the critters who grace us throughout the day. The dogs who know exactly where the treats are, the pups who come in just for a little attention, and of course, Trey, who has earned his own special place in the Battle Grounds universe.

We love our people, but let’s be honest. Sometimes the best part of the day is when a dog walks through the door.

To all the good boys, good girls, and slightly chaotic four-legged friends out there, Happy National Dog Day.

We’re ramping up the fall specials, so keep your eyes peeled. We’ve got some cozy things coming your way.

But no matter what season we’re in, there’s one flavor that never goes out of style around here: cinnamon.

The school year is just about here, and we’re feeling a little emotional about it.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve had to say goodbye to two AMAZING members of our team. Sammie and Navaeh are both heading back to school, leaving behind two very real barista-shaped holes in our hearts.

They’ve been a huge part of the Battle Grounds family, and while we’re incredibly proud of them and excited to see what’s next, we’re definitely going to miss having them behind the bar.

Of course, with change comes new faces. We’ve welcomed some new baristas to the team, and we’re excited for you to meet them, get to know them, and watch them become part of our little community.

To Sammie and Navaeh, thank you for everything. Your shifts, your laughs, your regulars, your creativity, and all the little things that made Battle Grounds feel like home.
