About the Sun Journal’s Best of New Bern… let me tell you, that as it catches fire, I also have some friends on there and I’m so excited for them!

When you visit the page, take note that our lovely sourdough queen, The Blooming Hearth Bakery has been nominated for best bakery, Baker's Kitchen is on there, and my sweet friend, Kayla who owned and operated The Daily Dough is now the amazing Bakery Manager there, my dear friend, Mashal Smith Photography is listed under “people”, the good folks at Ghent's Event Center, La Casa del Patron, La Patrona, Mucho Bueno Street Food & Tequila, and The Angry Lobster are all nominated, too! I am sure that I am forgetting to include some others who are near and dear to my heart, but go over there and show them some love! Small business is tough business and these folks give it their all everyday and keep showing up!

1. Due to our Custom Orders work load, we will NOT be open our regular hours WED or THU this week.

2. We will be restocking the cooler at Bill's Pet Shop Havelock on Wednesday.
