Sharing my frozen broth treats with you because it is so stinking hot outside. Your geriatric and toothless dogs especially will thank you for it!

You can cut your calories, fat, and preservatives tremendously just by trading that ranch or thousand island for an olive oil and vinegar based dressing and trading that orange cheese for no cheese or for a little white cheese like feta or Swiss. Add in some other things you really like instead like olives or nuts or boiled eggs! 💪🏼

Steak and eggs with peppers and onions - you can do it all on the grill in a cast iron skittet or foil packet and have no clean up. Sunday brunch DONE! And make my beef American 🇺🇸

This is one of our wonderful local meat farmers located in Petal - they offer beef, pork, turkey, chicken, lamb, you name it! Everything is born there, raised there, and processed there. It is SO GOOD! You can make your order online and pick it up several places in Hattiesburg or Petal. You can absolutely tell the difference in this meat and in the way you feel when it replaces the processed junk in your diet. I eat red meat a little less often than I used to so that when I do eat it, I can eat quality red meat, and it is very much worth it.

I put our food intake into my nutrition app after lunch the other day, and I realized we were going to be low on our fat and protein. I don't do it EVERYDAY like I should, but I try, and I always learn something when I do!

I got a game plan together in my head for supper and it just happened to be a frugal, easy to prepare one - scrambled eggs(almond milk and olive oil), quinoa, organic chicken sausage, and an avocado. All good fats and productive carbs. .

If you like crabcakes, then you'd love these salmon balls, and I made enough to easily feed 4 for around $10. E&B (Hburg) and Morgan's (Purvis) both have this super good Wild Planet Salmon for $1.69 a can - that's less than half what you pay in the grocery store. It's this beautiful white salmon that is ethically sourced that smells wonderful and you can just tell when you open it that it's good quality. All that's in it is salmon and sea salt and it's sourced in Alaska. I would absolutely go load up on it if you have a zombie apocalypse storage area. 🧟‍♂️ I like to serve them
with stone ground yellow grits for a fish n grits type deal.

These cabbage rolls were SO quick and easy! I used my InstaPot and my rice cooker for the quinoa and had a pretty healthy $12 meal ready in well under 30 minutes. If you subbed the pork for ground turkey, you could lower the calories and fat substantially if that's a goal. I don't use pre-rolled meatballs often but sometimes it's necessary to have something ready quick and these from Aldi are better than frozen ones to me. You'll have a lot
of cabbage and broth leftover for another meal. Working on the recipe and nutritional info!
