Happy Sunday everyone! Thanks for making the Luau amazing by showing up and taking care of our bartenders! I hope you are all well hydrated and grounded now to kickoff the summer!
I am currently looking for my keys if anyone saw them Friday night or maybe took them home accidentally? They have a little yellow pouch attached and a black, flower wristlet too. If either apply can you reach out to me or drop them at the bar? Thanks!
Also, I was cooking and missed a bunch of you! I hope you enjoyed yourselves anyway and next time I will adjust some things. You can always ask the bartenders.

Seems like we are in the height of fawn season — Please Share!

Spotted a tiny fawn curled up in the grass? Don’t panic — mom’s probably nearby and doing exactly what nature intended.

Each spring, white-tailed deer welcome their little ones into the world. While those tiny, speckled fawns may look abandoned or alone, it is completely normal for a mother deer to leave her fawn hidden during the day while she feeds nearby. She returns periodically to nurse and care for it, usually during the evening and overnight hours.

A resting fawn may stay in the same spot for several days — sometimes right next to homes, decks, garages, or sheds. This behavior helps protect them from predators by keeping attention away from the baby.

📸 Take a photo, not a fawn!
🚫 Please do NOT touch, feed, move, or “rescue” young wildlife unless it is clearly in danger.

Most fawns DO NOT need help. However, signs that a fawn may truly be in distress include:

❗ Constant crying or bleating
❗ Approaching people or following humans
❗ Covered in flies, especially around the back end
❗ Curled ear tips (possible dehydration, though not always)
❗ Visible injuries
❗ Located directly next to a deceased adult deer

The best thing we can do is give these spring babies space and allow them to stay wild and free.
