Back Alley Bakery & Cafe Our goal at Back Alley Bakery is to provide wholesome food using fresh ingredients and lots of love. We serve breakfast and lunch Tue-Sat.

We make a variety of sourdough breads daily in our wood-fired brick oven. Don't miss our beautiful, delicious pastries, convenient catering, and delightful atmosphere (with space rental available)!

We’ve hired a little extra help for the month of October!

Her main gig is creating a spooky window display for Downtown Hastings, NE but she works through the night whipping up some pretty delicious desserts! 🍪🧁

She’s a little quirky, keeps some strange hours, and we’re not entirely sure what’s in her recipes… but we’re happy to have her on the team!

Mmmmm… gingered sweet potato soup 👨‍🍳🍠

Cheesecakes are baked and ready to be topped in the morning, cakes are making the whole kitchen smell amazing, and our favorite sourdough is baking overnight. 🍰🥖

And if you happen to be near the alley tonight… go take a sniff. 😍 Our freshly made sourdough smells SO good while it bakes. Our bread guy makes it fresh overnight, with our dear Carl starter… same for the past 25 years.

Tomorrow is already looking delicious. ❤️
