We’re excited to announce that The Tiny Homestead is officially taking over the Homestead Table Dinner Series!

While our name may be changing, the heart of Homestead Table remains the same. Chef Stephen will still be in the kitchen, bringing you thoughtfully crafted menus, bold flavors, and memorable evenings centered around great food, good company, and our love of bringing people together.

We also want to take a moment to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to Chef Toni for everything she has done to help us bring Homestead Table to life. Her creativity, talent, hard work, and dedication helped turn an idea into something truly special. We are incredibly grateful for everything she contributed and wish her nothing but success and happiness as she embarks on her new adventures! ❤️

From Japanese Yakitori and Korean Mandu to Thai Chicken Satay, Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork, and a delicious Mango Cheesecake with Coconut Cream Sticky Rice, we're bringing the flavors of the night markets straight to your table.

🇫🇷 ONE NIGHT. FIVE COURSES. A TASTE OF THE FRENCH COUNTRYSIDE. 🇫🇷

On Thursday, September 3, we're transforming FoxView into our little corner of the French countryside for the next gathering of The Homestead Table.

Inspired by Julia Child and the rustic kitchens of France, Chefs Stephen & Toni of Hooked on Homestead Catering have created a five-course menu built around something we believe deeply:

Great food doesn't have to be complicated. It simply needs to be prepared with care and shared with good people.

COURSE ONE | Gougères
Warm French cheese puffs with Gruyère

COURSE TWO | Salade Lyonnaise
Frisée lettuce, bacon lardons, croutons & Dijon vinaigrette

COURSE THREE | French Onion Tartlet
Caramelized onions, Gruyère & buttery pastry

COURSE FOUR | Coq au Vin
Julia Child's classic braised chicken in red w**e with mushrooms, pearl onions & bacon

Served with Pommes Purée — silky French mashed potatoes

COURSE FIVE | Crème Brûlée
Vanilla bean custard finished with a crisp layer of caramelized sugar

But The Homestead Table was never created to simply serve dinner.

We created it because we wanted a place where people could slow down for an evening.

Where strangers sit down together and leave knowing one another.

Where local food, local businesses and our community come together around one table.

Please join us in welcoming Stephen Grider to the Mill Street Market team!

Stephen joins us as our Kitchen & Culinary Education Director, bringing nearly three decades of experience as an executive chef, entrepreneur, market gardener, educator, and community builder.

Stephen's career has been grounded in a belief that fits naturally with the vision for Mill Street Market: food has the power to build community.

As we prepare to open, Stephen will play a key role in developing and launching our incubator kitchen and culinary education programs, while also working alongside our Farm Stop & Cafe team and helping create opportunities for local farmers, bakers, cooks, food entrepreneurs, and small businesses.

For Stephen, the vision goes well beyond the kitchen. He sees Mill Street Market as a place where a new food entrepreneur can get their start, a farmer can find another market for their harvest, neighbors can share a meal, families can learn together, and community partners can collaborate on new ideas.

In Stephen's words: “We are not simply building a market. We are building community, and the market is the place where that community gathers.”

We're excited to have Stephen join Allison, Anne, and the growing Mill Street Market team as we move closer to opening our doors and bringing this vision to life.

I'm Chef Toni, and I'm one of the partners behind Hooked on Homestead Catering & Event Management

I grew up in Dorr, Michigan, where some of my favorite memories were made around the kitchen table. That's where stories were shared, traditions were passed down, and love was often expressed through fresh bread, homemade desserts, and meals made from the heart.

Over the years, I've come to realize that baking isn't just about bread or cookies.
It's about making people feel welcome.
It's about creating a place where people belong.
It's about reminding someone that they're seen, valued, and loved.
That's why partnering with Chef Stephen at Hooked on Homestead has meant so much to me. We share a vision that's bigger than catering.
