Some of our favorite moments aren't the busiest ones—they're the sweetest.

Tonight, one of our favorite father-and-daughter duos came in. They're regulars, and we always look forward to seeing them.

This time, Dad stood back while the little girl we've watched grow up confidently stepped up to the counter and proudly placed her order.

"Cotton candy ice cream..."

Then, with the biggest smile, she held up a little sandwich bag filled with marshmallows she'd brought from home.

"...and marshmallows!"

She finished it off with rainbow sprinkles, whipped cream, and, of course... a cherry. 🍒

It made all of us smile.

Sometimes it isn't about the ice cream at all. It's about watching kids grow up one visit at a time, remembering exactly how they like their sundae, and getting to be a small part of family traditions.

Those are the moments we love.

PENNY RESCUE MISSION

Got a jar of pennies sitting at home doing absolutely nothing?

Bring them to Jerry’s.

Pennies have become almost impossible to get from the bank, and this whole “round up, round down” thing feels silly when there are probably 40 pounds of pennies hiding in couch cushions, junk drawers, cup holders, and old vacation change jars all over Cooperstown.

So we’re asking for your help.

Bring us your pennies, and we’ll happily put them back to work where they belong — making change, keeping things simple, and preventing all of us from having to do unnecessary math at the register.

Loose pennies. Rolled pennies. A suspiciously heavy coffee can of pennies.

We’ll take them.

No big speech.

We kept the day open for locals, regulars, families, kids with quarters, parents who don’t want to cook, and anyone who knows summer tastes better at Jerry’s.

We feel incredibly lucky 🍀 to welcome amazing guests every day—our local community, baseball families, and visitors from all over the country. The truth is, 99% of the people who walk through our doors “get it.” 99% of our guests get this guy. The following is based on a review we just got-

We believe in great food, great ice cream, and treating people with respect.

A little Friday evening perspective...

We absolutely love our locals, and we're incredibly thankful that our locals have supported Jerry's Place for so many years. You're the foundation of everything we do.

This summer we've also welcomed thousands of baseball families from all over the country, and honestly, this year's teams have been fantastic. The overwhelming majority have been kind, appreciative, and a pleasure to host.

Every now and then, though, you run into a sore loser. That's part of being in business.

We'll continue to communicate our policies clearly, treat every guest fairly, and provide the same experience to everyone. We won't be bullied into changing our published pricing or policies because someone threatens a bad review.

The best part of tonight came just minutes later when a guest from California stopped me and said, "That was the best damned burger and chocolate shake I've ever had."

That's the Jerry's Place we know.

To our locals, our regulars, and the incredible teams and families who've made this season so much fun—thank you. We appreciate you more than you know, and we'll keep showing up every day to serve the best food and experience we can.

Thank you for the early mornings, the long days, the lessons that lasted, and the steady presence that made a difference.

Whether you’re spending the weekend with family, friends, or simply taking a well-earned break, we hope it’s filled with great food, plenty of smiles, and memories worth holding onto.
