Did you know the Beaumont Inn holds one of the most respected honors in American food?

In 2015, the James Beard Foundation gave the Beaumont Inn its America's Classics Award — reserved for beloved restaurants whose food reflects the character of their community.

It’s an honor that means even more because the traditions behind it are still very much alive.

As we move into the next chapter of the Beaumont Inn, we’re committed to honoring the food and experiences that generations of guests have come here for. Our famous Friday Lunch Buffet continues that tradition — serving the familiar Kentucky favorites that have helped make Beaumont Inn a destination for decades.

At the same time, history doesn’t stand still.

We’re thoughtfully reimagining the menus at the Old Owl Tavern and Owl’s Nest — preserving the classics that belong here while introducing new dishes, new flavors, and new reasons to gather around our tables.

Our mission moving forward.... To honor the history that brought us here. To create new traditions that will carry us forward.

Did you know the Beaumont Inn was a women's college long before it was a hotel? (You probably did-- but we love reflecting on where the journey started)

The 1845 brick building you stay in today once held classrooms. Over the decades it was Greenville Institute, then Daughters' College, then Beaumont College — educating young women from as far as 26 states at a time when few colleges in Kentucky offered women a full curriculum.

History survives because people choose to experience it, cherish it, and pass it on.

🎷Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight for Jazz on the Lawn. It was wonderful to see so many friends, neighbors, and familiar faces come together to enjoy an evening of live music on the grounds of the Inn.

A special thank you to Blue Groove Jazz for filling the lawn with incredible music and helping make the evening such a memorable one.

Evenings like this are exactly what we love about being part of this community — good music, good company, and time spent together in a place that has welcomed generations.

Thank you for spending your evening with us. We loved having you here and look forward to many more nights like this at Beaumont Inn. ❤️

Kids dancing barefoot on the grass. Grandparents in lawn chairs. Everyone else somewhere in between, as Five Jazz plays us into the evening.

Jazz on the Lawn is a family-friendly evening, free to the public — Thursday, October 1st from 5:30–7:30 PM at Beaumont Inn.

A snack cart will be on the lawn with drinks and bites. Old Owl Tavern will be on standby if you end up looking for a meal.

This is what fall in Harrodsburg is supposed to look like.
