HARRISON’S MAIN STREET BRIDGE IS OPEN! (4K Link in Comments)
This morning, the Golden Goblin Marching Band helped welcome the crowd before state and local leaders marked the occasion. Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for, the ribbon was cut, the vehicles lined up and traffic began rolling across Harrison’s new Main Street Bridge.
The ceremony included remarks from Jared D. Wiley, director of the Arkansas Department of Transportationn State Rep. Ron McNair; and State Sen. Bryan King, before the ribbon was cut and the first vehicles crossed the new bridge.
We got our bridge back.
This is our full-length coverage of that day; the ceremony, the people, the history, the views from above and the first drive across. And when the story is over, stick around for the credits. That’s where some good stuff is!
A quick thank you to the businesses that helped make our bridge coverage possible: When I started putting this production together, it seemed fitting to partner with two businesses located right there near the bridge: T's BBQ and Watts and webb floor covering. We also recieved outstanding support from Matt Bell at Explore Harrison and City of Explore Harrison and the City of Harrison, Arkansas – Government. They’re local businesses I personally patronize, and they stepped up to support Eppic Shots in documenting an important day for Harrison. Thank you, T’s BBQ, Watts & Webb Floor Covering!
Billy Barrett of Barrett Aerials joined us. Milam Parker helped us cover the event with additional video. And Walker Robinson Music brought some seriously cool music to the production and a hidden track. Don’t click away too early.
I’m grateful to my team and to the partners who helped me step this production up and give an important Harrison moment the kind of coverage I felt it deserved.
