Over a year ago, Jean and Scott left this earth to spend more quality time with family and friends that had left us earlier before. I guarantee they are looking down and watching all the changes and grinning. They are seeing you get new careers, start new families and grow up in so many ways.
The Pour House will not and can never be what they made it but I know they both saw something in Harrison. They wanted to love and appreciate where they lived and what they started in the community. Their goal was to work hard to help the square grow into something special.
As time passes it is easy for many to start to forget and many that are new didn’t have the chance to be part of the Pour House family. This beautiful building on the square was a dream for a 70 year young woman to prove she could do something that most normal people could not. From realtor to restaurant/bar owner is a huge feat and she did it with style and grace and lots of trial and error.
I would love to see my parents dream and adventure continue with someone else’s dream. I know they would want that as well.
The Pour House building and everything in it is for sale. It is time to turn this place into something great once again but that is going to take this community to make that happen. Spread the word, think outside the box like my parents did and help create a space that the community would like to gather in again. The place is a blank canvas for a beautiful piece of art. I look forward to seeing what is next.
