Good afternoon, everyone. It's Friday.

Isn't it crazy how EVERY DAY, EVERY WEEK has the exact same number of hours, minutes, seconds but it never ceases to amaze how some weeks feel like they take forever and other weeks fly by. What a difference perspective makes.

Well yesterday feels like Monday to me so you know what kind of week I had. But it's Friday already and I'll take it.

Well, did you miss me? Had to take a much-needed break for a day yesterday to reset. It's amazing somedays what "unplugging" from the world for a bit can do for your mental state.

So here we are, refreshed and back at it. Today is a GREAT day as not only do we have Trivia with Sporcle Host Frank tonight at 7:00, but it is Pizza Day here at Jefferson Street Pub. We are still in our infancy stages here with our Pizza menu, so we are holding it as a special on Thursday nights for now and we absolutely would love any feedback we can get.

Our Pizzas are ALL 12" pizza's but everything is fresh, made in-house, and cooked to order. We are NOT burning pizzas (unless you ask for it that way) and everything from our dough to our sauces are homemade. Nothing crazy. Nothing fancy. Just really good pizza at honest prices. A basic one-topping pizza is $12 and no, cheese is not an item so you can get a pepperoni pizza for $12. We have quite a few toppings available so you can get creative as you like, but me personally: I'm a minimalist when it comes to pizza - just a few items and enjoy!

To help those that like specialty pizzas - RJ has created a few for this week at $14 per pizza:

-BBQ Chicken Pizza: has BBQ sauce instead of pizza sauce.

-Buffalo Chicken Pizza: self explanatory

-Bee Sting: Pepperoni, Candied Jalapenos and Hot Honey.

-Whiteout: Olive oil, Garlic, Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella and House-made Pesto with our own fresh Basil (no tomato sauce).

-Spinach/Artichoke: Olive oil, Spinach, artichoke and grilled chicken (no tomato sauce).

Pizzas available after 12:00 noon. Dine in or carry out.

Tuesday. 11:24 am. Do you know where your kids are? If you are old enough to remember that then you are old - don't worry, so am I.

Being old isn't all bad though. Every stage of human life has its pros and cons, ups and downs, downsides and privileges. And some days, age just doesn't matter because some days you are the bug and some days you are the windshield. Yesterday, I'm pretty sure I was both at different times of the day, but I definitely ended up being mostly the bug! But today is a new day!

Speaking of, DON'T FORGET TO VOTE TODAY! Lots happening here in Michigan and even though it is only the primary elections, it still has a huge impact on our state and the direction we are heading here locally. How you vote and what you hope for is completely up to you, but the best part is having the FREEDOM to vote, so get out and exercise that right today.

Well, that was a different kind of weekend.

Let's just start off by saying that for me, myself, in my own personal opinion, I think the Detroit Tigers' ownership and management have no right owning a baseball team any longer and it is definitely time to sell to someone who gives a sh*t about the success of the team and not just making money every year from grossly overpriced ticket sales, merchandising and advertising. I wish Tarik Skubal all the success in the world and I hope he can go get his World Series Championship Ring with the Dodgers just like Verlander and so many others did. He was truly becoming a wasted talent here in Detroit and he deserved to be traded to a winning team. Chris Ilitch is definitely not Mike Ilitch and he is destroying the Ilitch legacy.

But on the flip side, we got some MUCH NEEDED RAIN yesterday. And JSP broke our record again in Lobster Roll sales. Wow. You people are genuinely hungry for real, great food like Lobster at a reasonable price. We can't wait to do it for you again. Probably the last weekend in August. Stay tuned. But THANK YOU to every one of you that came to eat, that spread the word and that commented on Facebook or a Google Review. We truly appreciate all of you.

Sunday Funday at its Best!! Yes, I mean that. I know there are no major sport events going on today, but we finally got a little bit of much needed rain (maybe a little more today as well), AND it is DAY 2 of Lobster Roll Weekend!

Yesterday was amazing. You all broke the record again and we are ready to do it again today. We have several extra available for walk-ins on top of those that pre-registered. Come see Mandi and Jodi this morning. The Lobster Rolls start at 12:00 noon and go until we are gone, or 9:00 pm, whichever comes first. Katelynn is making a rare appearance again tonight (she just couldn't get enough of the Lobster crowd) and Megan will be taking care of your drinks.

Good morning. It may start raining today and continue on and off most of the day - just like a nice summer day on the East Coast - right where our friendly lobsters were swimming just a few days ago. Now they are all cleaned, bathed undressed and ready for you to enjoy with some delicious drawn butter (clarified, of course) on a toasted, split top Brioche bun along with a bag of chips - ALL FOR ONLY $27! It's finally Friday. This week has been a long one. But let's celebrate the weekend!

Even though the hot weather returns today, a bowl of Clam Chowder (the good stuff, none of that canned soup) is a great way to start the day. It's actually refreshing as contradictory as that sounds.

Next up, in addition to all of our Fish Fry goodies, we have a Catfish Po' Boy on special today for $15.99. Get golden, brown and delicious deep-fried catfish on a soft hoagie roll served with tomatoes, lettuce and our house made remoulade sauce, served up with your choice of side. If you've never had catfish or it's been a while, you really should try it. It's actually a pretty mild fish and tastes nothing like cat (JOKING !! 😅). Maybe a little dash of one of our many hot sauces that we have available.

Fireball Friday is still a thing - get a $3 Fireball all day long.

Here we go ... it's finally a Pizza Party!!!

That's right. Chef RJ is ready to start slinging our very own JSP Pizzas today. To start, they will just be a special item today and then we will see how it goes. So, please, Please, PLEASE leave us a comment or review or just scream something over the fence to Robert Cassar while he's outside so we know if you like them, don't like them, want changes, etc.

To start, ALL the pizzas are going to be 12". To me that is a personal size pizza for one, but you can definitely share, especially with other food or a few different Pizzas. Here's what you will get: One delicious, piping hot pizza made to order with mozzarella cheese for $11.50. Each topping is $0.50. (Full disclosure, I wanted to make the pizzas $12 each with one topping but I couldn't figure that out on our computer this morning so each cheese only pizza is $11.50 and toppings are $0.50 so a pizza with one tipping (cheese doesn't count) is $12. Follow my logic there? Yeah, me neither but go with it 🤣). We also have ONE specialty pizza today - the BBQ Chicken Pizza - for $14.

Toppings are pretty much everything you can think of from pepperoni & sausage to fresh mozzarella and green olives, to pineapple or fresh basil. Basically, if we have it in the kitchen, we can put it on a pizza for you.

We are excited to say the least. Give us a try and please give us patience today as well. We can pretty much guarantee a few hiccups but hopefully not many.

Trivia will be hot tonight! Perfect time to grab a few pizzas for your table along with a few cold "pops" and enjoy the night with Sporcle Host Frank. I hear that Frank is definitely a pineapple on pizza kind of guy! Don't worry Frank, I'm right there with you. Add some anchovies and now we are talkin!😂

Last but not least, we just had Fed Ex deliver 3 HUGE boxes of live lobsters. Getting ready for the weekend. Don't forget that the ONLY place you are getting REAL fresh Lobster Rolls in Southeast Michigan is right here at Jefferson Street Pub. Yes, I said it. And we are STILL holding prices at $27 each.
