🧇Sweet, savory, decadent. Another waffle masterpiece from chef: sweet potato waffle batter, cooked to perfection and stacked high. Topped with vanilla whipped cream, maple syrup, and powdered sugar.

🍂It’s officially Fall and we’re in heaven!!! With the turning of the seasons comes comfort food, warming spices, cool breezes on a warm day, and all our favorite Appalachian flavors including apples 🍎 and pumpkins 🎃!!!
✨This week’s dinner special pays homage to Hispanic Heritage month with a Bolivian comfort dish called Majadito. With annato, garlic, and onion seasoned rice, shredded chicken, and fried sweet plantains topped with a fried egg.
🍎🥃 Just as exciting as dinner, our popular apple c***r old fashioned is back for the season!!!

☀️ We’re covering all the bases this week…from local foraged pawpaws in our decadent waffles & delicious cocktails to Chef’s comfort food for dinner. This is truly a taste of
🥣 Soup of the day: Cream of Carrot (sweet and savory with carrots, celery, onions, garlic, apples & herbs puréed and fortified with cream. Topped with a maple crema, sliced apple, and fresh sage.)
🧇 Pawpaw Waffles!!! Our decadent waffle batter infused with pawpaw puree from local foraged pawpaws. Topped with whipped cream, crushed walnuts, and sweetened condensed milk.
🍽️ Cuban Ropa Vieja!! Tender, slow braised & shredded beef with bell peppers, onions, and sliced olives in a rich tomato broth. Served over rice with house made totones. Comfort food at its finest!
🍹instead of just one cocktail feature this week, we have 3!! Apple C***r old fashioneds and Mountain Mai Tais are still available through Monday. Both featuring our house made apple c***r syrup, we couldn’t let you miss out on these beauties. Now here’s the best part, our 3rd feature is our ever popular PawPaw Please from last year! Featuring locally foraged pawpaw & spice bush in a house made pawpaw syrup, bourbon, & lemonade, this is a palate pleaser, hyper local, and a once in a lifetime cocktail. Iykyk

✨We pestered Chef…..foraged pawpaws…..made pawpaw puree…..AND put it in his cooler!!!
🧇Luckily for all of us, our persistence paid off!!! We’ve been rewarded with pawpaw infused waffles. This week Chef infused our decadent waffle batter with pawpaw puree and topped it with homemade vanilla whipped cream, crushed walnuts & sweetened condensed milk.
🍌🍞 it’s giving Appalachian banana bread. She’s sweet, she’s savory, she’s hyper local and she’s here for just a limited time.

🌸🍌 From fruit to flower……here’s a snapshot of the peculiar Appalachian fruit that continues to go more and more viral as the years pass. Those of us who grew up eating pawpaws know exactly how special they are! From just a simple woodland snack to breads and ice creams, they have a multitude of culinary applications.
