This place has a 10 dollar lunch special that can’t be beat. Today’s special was the carne guisada plate, tea included. They also bring chips and salsa at no extra charge. The meat was tender and extra bonus it had potatoes. I thought the portion size would be small but I was wrong it’s big. I didn’t even finish my plate. We will be back.

Good sliced brisket sandwich here. Way better than Ace’s BBQ that we tried last week, which I don’t recommend.

Something different today while in McAllen, TX. We walked in thinking it was a regular buffet and soon discovered that we cook our own food. WE COOK our own food, well just as long as they don’t make me wash dishes too 😆. We were a little confused of the process at first but quickly got the hang of it. I just pictured myself as a cook at Kahn’s Grill.
Cool place to go for a date or with friends.

In Rio Hondo TX to try out the brisket and ribs. I’d have to say the ribs were delicious. The brisket (rub) had a little bit of a kick. The mac also had a little bit of a jalapeño taste. Nice atmosphere and pleasant wait staff. They even had a live band outside playing some oldies but goodies. We both enjoyed our plate of pasta with chicken. Chicken picatta had a lemon flavor and Marsala had a mushroom flavor. Nice place for a date night.
