Aloha! We are so proud to announce that we are buying the “Sandwich Bowl” building from Randy and Jean Feldman, located in the heart of Harlan’s historic square (east side). IIAWAH Grill will have a second home that is more stationary. We are keeping our mobile food truck and are still hoping to service neighboring communities in the area.
IIAWAH Grill will be serving our current menu and adding many more Hawaiian and Iowan favorites. Our menu will have our staples, but we will also have some rotating favorites as the seasons change. You will have to stop in once we open regularly to taste our additions.
We are excited to join the Harlan business community. We are now home for good. Our customers in Harlan have been welcoming and supportive as we have frequented The Lounge throughout the spring and summer of 2026. We look forward to seeing all of you as you cross our threshold at 1008–6th Street, Harlan, IA 51537.
Our opening date has not been announced yet, but we will keep you updated.
We are grateful for the opportunity that Randy and Jean Feldman have provided us. We hope to make them proud by upholding the fresh food that Sandwich Bowl has provided Harlan; along with the friendly and fun atmosphere. IIAWAH Grill would like to wish Randy a blessed and much deserved retirement. You have earned it. We also hope to see you “spooning” around your old home/our new home.
