The Cork & Fork is looking for a reliable, fast-paced Line Cook to join our kitchen crew. In this role, you will play a key part in setting up the line, preparing high-quality dishes according to our recipes, and maintaining a clean, efficient station. Whether you are an experienced cook looking for a stable kitchen or a passionate line cook eager to sharpen your culinary skills, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities: Prepare and stock your assigned station with all necessary ingredients, sauces, and prep items before service. Cook and assemble menu items quickly and accurately, adhering strictly to our recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Follow all food health, sanitation, and safety regulations to ensure a clean work environment. Communicate effectively with the expo, front-of-house staff, and fellow cooks to keep ticket times low. Clean down your station at the end of the shift, label and store leftover ingredients safely, and prepare the line for the next shift.

Experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Short Order Cook preferred (willing to train the right candidate). Strong knife skills, a solid understanding of various cooking methods (grilling, frying, sautéing), and the ability to multitask preferable. Ability to stand for long periods, move quickly in a hot kitchen environment, and lift up to [40] lbs with a team-first mindset, punctuality, and a strong work ethic required.

The Cork & Fork is a staple in the Hardwick community, known for great drinks, great food, and a welcoming, local atmosphere. We are looking for an energetic and reliable Bartender to join our team!

Responsibilities:
Mix, craft, and serve b**r, w**e, and cocktails efficiently and accurately.
Provide friendly, attentive service to guests at the bar and table seating.
Handle cash and card transactions using our POS system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout shifts.
Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with Vermont Department of Liquor Control regulations.
Assist with basic bar prep (juices, garnishes, restocking inventory).

Qualifications:
Previous bartending or food & beverage service experience preferred.
Knowledge of classic drinks, craft b**r, and basic w**e service.
Strong multitasking abilities and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
DLC (Vermont Department of Liquor Control) certification, or willingness to complete training prior to start.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Willingness to fill in as wait staff/hostess as needed.

An overdue post for a few of the handcrafted cocktails available at The Cork & Fork by the one and only, Edwin, also known as Champ. Quite the fitting nickname considering he’s our champion cocktail crafter who is always mixing up consistent irresistible drinks that keep our patrons coming back for more. If you’re a frequent flyer with us he’ll likely be filling a glass with your favorite C&F cocktail, mocktail, draft or w**e as you come through the door, likely before you even make it to your seat. He’s pretty rad like that!

Featured today is our signature C&F Margarita, an Old Fashion, a creamy Espresso Martini & one of the three cocktails on special this week, a Lavender Lemon Drop Martini 🍸
