Acts 10:44-48 ESV
[44] While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. [45] And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles. [46] For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared, [47] “Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” [48] And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.

I'm going full Apostolic this morning, after seeing someone denounce our experience, it's been on my mind. I wasn't raised in this, I'm first generation. I'm still very reserved, but I can tell you the Apostolic/ Pentecostal experience is the real deal. Are there people who fake it and take it way too far? 100% you bet there are. I've seen people "fall out" and roll in the floor to be seen, then go right back into a life of sin. But I've also seen real deal moves of God in so many services, where people are healed undoubtedly, delivered, set free, marriages healed (mine included), finances made to stretch to the unbelievable (again, mine included in times of need). Do people take it too far to be seen, sure. Usually the most Judgemental Pentecostals are the ones who are barely actually engaged in a service, and don't have a relationship with Jesus at all. That doesn't mean we all do.
King David was the man called after Gods own heart and he Danced his heart out when the Ark of the Covenant was brought into Jerusalem, image if he had an opertunity to be Filled with Gods Spirit as we do!
People who scoff at us praising and worshipping our Creator who suffered and died on a cross for our Salvation , will themselves go out and act a fool at a sports game (not insulting here, just making a point)
When Jesus talked with Nicodemus - he clearly told him- you MUST be born of the water and Spirit.

Sad day for our vendor here in Liberty. They finally had to throw in the towel and call it quits. It's hard to make it work with a small business in a small town. The economy still sucks, so you certainly can't blame the consumers for not wanting to spend the money to shop local. Keep the folks at Lolly G's General story in your prayers, and that God will bless them in the next chapter of their life.

2 Chronicles 7:14-15 ESV
[14] if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. [15] Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.

So much Patriotism this 4th of July, we should keep that vibe year round! None the less, our Country still needs to repent and turn to God more than ever. And I'm talking about US! Not pointing a finger at those on the other side of the spectrum, it's our job to stir a revival, not their job. In order to have "Revival", you must have been "Alive" at some point. If we can stir that burning red hot revival, and invite an inquenchable stir of the Spirit of Christ, it is then that we can reach the lost. But it all starts with our own repentance, prayer, true communion with Christ and.... Dare I say fasting....

Fun Fact, Psalm 118 is the middle of the Bible, Psalm 117 is the shortest chapter and Psalm 119 is the Longest Chapter. Verse 22 in 118 is prophecy of Jesus of course

Hebrews 13:6 ESV
[6] So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

There is a lot of meat in Hebrews 13, I was originally going for verse 1- being hospitalable to strangers, then verse 5 hit me- do not have the love of money and be content with what you have (we had just been talking about being somewhat frustrated with finances and how much everything has went up), then verse 6 really summed it up- THE LORD IS MY HELPER!
I would recommend reading the whole chapter- don't speed read it to get your reading in for the day, but slow down and really digest it. Get your Spiritual protein in for the day!

[15] When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”

Peter denied Jesus three times at the trial, however after the Resurrection, Jesus gave him a second chance and asked him 3 times- Peter do you love Me?

We all fail, come up short and miss the mark. I'm thankful for a God who gives us second chances and will even help us back up!
