The story of The Pier is intertwined with the Harbor Springs waterfront.

Before The Pier Restaurant opened in 1971, this corner of the harbor had already lived several lives, including the boathouse that served the historic Pointer water taxi and the waterfront Pier Bar.

More than 50 years later, the water is still beneath us, the Pointer is still part of the story, and The Pier remains rooted in the harbor that gave it its name.

Some restaurants overlook history. The Pier was built into it.
