Over the years it has transformed its look and gastronomic excellence to our present day polished casual appeal. Our Executive Chef Stephen Dow is truly a local (born and raised). Since late 2008 he and his team have uplifted our culinary program and have incorporated a very strong bond with the Upper Valley's many fine farms and purveyors. Chef Dow simply knows how to create balanced menus with pleasing taste satisfaction and firmly believes that by adopting a locavore mindset our customers will enjoy the many benefits and results. We are the top rated restaurant in the area on Trip Advisor and many other rating sites and are proud to be recognized as such. From the return of the Crispy Chicken Sandwich to new fall favorites like duck breast, smoked pork belly, and three-cheese ravioli with pumpkin-sage cream, this menu is thoughtful, comforting and unmistakably Murphy’s.

Thirty-four years ago, Murphy’s was brand new, and so was the Class of 1996, arriving in Hanover for the very first time.

Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming generations of Dartmouth students through our doors and becoming part of countless college memories along the way.
