8:26 - I’m so sorry Sherry Village, we have gone as far as we can! Thank you for those of you who came and lined up at the entrance!!

One of the most fun things about this season is every once in a while, one of us gets to bring our daughter to an event!! She is doing great on one truck at a celebration of life service, while the other truck is at Columbia Cottage for an event there! Since that’s so close to Timber Lane and we have a 7:00 event to work in, around 4:15 one truck is going to do

Timber Lane loop (including Forest Circle)

Other side of Timber Lane:

Ivy Circle

We have two of our favorite events this week - Delone’s Bonfire on Thursday, and New Oxford High School’s first home football game on Friday! We’ll do normal routes tonight and Tuesday, one truck both nights.

Wednesday one truck will do THURSDAY routes, and the other truck will do Kids Kingdom and the Colonial Drive neighborhood (but NOT Colonial Acres, which is why we visited them last night).

Thursday we will only be at the Bonfire, no routes.

Friday one truck will be at the football game, and one truck will do the usual Friday night route, starting at 5:00 again so we can still get the Hanover Apartments.

While we’re here, on Saturday after some afternoon events, one truck will do the usual Saturday route, and the other will go out for a little before serving a 7:00 party.

That’s roughly what our week looks like! Looking forward to starting it off with Monday routes on this lovely day!

Many moons ago, we were buying straws for the truck for the first time and thought “surely ‘jumbo’ is made for milkshakes; I don’t need to measure!” I’m a sucker for a good unit price and Dan always gets what we need plus about a billion extra, so we took advantage of some quantity discount and ordered just so many jumbo straws! And were WRONG! But none of you complained (to us) about how these were too skinny to be milkshake straws; you just kept putting up with it. And now FINALLY we have gone through them and have the actual correct milkshake straws on the trucks! I shouldn’t be as thrilled as I am about something as little as straws, but here we are (I sure complained to Dan about it whenever I got a milkshake 😇). So order your milkshakes and enjoy them a little extra!

Thank you so much to Campbell’s, Washington Elementary, Delone Catholic High School, Wellspan Orthopedics, Krise Transportation, West Manchester Police, and Hanover Beverage Outlet for allowing us to serve you this week! We’ll be here at the Hanover Beverage Outlet until 3:00 before we head out to serve a party. Routes will start when we get back from East Berlin, so don’t sweat if it’s a few minutes after 4:30!

We have a busy week next week, and some things need to be shifted! Assuming the weather and everything co-operates, here is roughly what we’re looking at for this weekend and beginning of the week (I’m not posting further than Tuesday just in case the weather DOES mess something up):

Sat: Starting around 5 because we’ll be coming from an event: N McSherrystown // Stock St, Penn St, George St, Eagle Rock. Not necessarily in that order. Depending on what time we do get started, we might have time for Blue Spruce & Little Knoll.

Sun: afternoon: Allwood. Starting around 4:30: Friendly Drive, Barley Circle, Indian Ridge, Wappler Dr, Chapel Ridge // Timber Lane area, Colonial Acres

Mon: normal

Tues: normal

We’d like to give a shoutout to all the third shift workers! It is hard to do what you do! We just served ice cream 2am-5am two days in a row, and the number of times we’ve asked each other “what DAY is it?!” so far already is outrageous! But it’s Thursday, apparently, and we are hoping storms clear up in time to start routes around 5:30! If any storms are still around at 5:30, we’ll leave when it’s safe to.
