WE’RE ADDING A DAY. SORT OF.

Starting September 15th, Departure will be open on Tuesdays from 7am-12pm for coffee service only. And before you ask - yes, there are reasons.

We’ve got some big changes coming and we’re really excited about what’s next. But we’re also not interested in growing just for the sake of growing. We’re building this thing slowly, thoughtfully, and sustainably. Because the goal isn’t to do more just to say we’re doing more. The goal is to do it really damn well. So Tuesday mornings are our little test drive.

So for now: coffee.
Eventually: coffee + baked goods + sandwiches + the full Departure experience.

We’ll get there. We just refuse to sprint there. So come grab a coffee, hang out for a bit, and start your Tuesday with us 🖤

Three years ago, we lit a small flame, not knowing just how brightly it would burn.

What started as a little market bakery in Hanover has grown into a full-blown coffee shop and bakery in New Freedom and honestly, sometimes I still can’t believe it.

I remember asking my mom if she thought I could actually sell $400 worth of cookies a month, just enough to pay my rent. She laughed and said, “Probably.” 😂

Three years later, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for every person who believed in me, encouraged me, showed up, and reminded me to keep going, even on the days when it felt like maybe it wasn’t worth it.

Coffee and baked goods are hard. It’s not something you get into to get rich. It’s something you do because you love it. Because you love creating something that makes people happy. Because you love becoming a small part of someone’s day, their routine, their celebrations, their lives.

For me, it’s a love language. And I’m so incredibly grateful that I get to love you all this way. Thank you for letting me keep the flame burning.
