Hi KCC Family and Friends!
I’ve recently been asked about doing homemade goodies/care packages for college students at my daughter’s school. Now that my oldest is in college (thank goodness she’s a commuter), this idea pulls at my heartstrings a little more…so I’ve decided I’m going to offer “Sweet Trick or Treat Boxes” for Halloween this year as a trial run!
Depending on demand (and how it goes), I am hoping to offer them throughout the year for other holidays, and/or possibly exam timeframes as well! I will continue to work on the details, but I’m thinking of offering things like cookies, brownies, rice crispy treats, muffins, bars (like s’mores, lemon, brookies etc), muddy buddy treat bags, chocolate covered pretzels, fudge, and even possibly cupcakes in these boxes. If this is something you’d be interested in, feel free to shoot me a message or post a comment below! If you want to order a box for your family just to have at home, or take to a Halloween party, I won’t judge you 🤣. Just because you don’t have a local college student doesn’t mean you can’t buy a box!!!
Each box will have a variety of at least 3 different types of goodies in it, but no more than 10. I haven’t decided if I’m just going to offer 1 standard box for a set price each time, or if I will make a list of items to choose from and you can select 3-10 different types of treats for your box. It will likely depend on how much interest I get. I’d love to personalize each box, because I hate buying something that has things in it my kid doesn’t like, but if I get 20+ orders, that could lead to a lot of small batch baking if only 1 or 2 orders have a particular treat, and as much as I love you all - this momma doesn’t have time for that and I don’t want left overs 🤣🤣🤣.
Prices will start at $35 which includes delivery to your student at a safe place/common area on campus if they are local, and security will allow me to bring them to campus. I WILL NOT DELIVER TO DORM ROOMS BEYOND A LOBBY AREA!!!! Or if you have a family member close by, I’m happy to arrange a drop off/meet up with them instead! And if you want a box and your student isn’t local, I will gladly make arrangements to get it to you, and you can make final delivery arrangements to get it to your student! …again, still working out the details here, these are just my initial thoughts!
…and don’t worry, I’m not going to give up offering cinnamon rolls at Christmas to do Christmas care packages instead 😉!
