I’ve been busy behind the scenes getting things ready for Farmstand 1772 🤎

There are SO many things I’ve been working on, testing, making and dreaming up for the shelves…

Fresh baked goods like brownies, oatmeal cream pies and other homemade treats 🍪
Sweet & savory snack mixes
Assorted baking and specialty mixes
Hand poured Candles & home fragrance 🕯️

…and plenty more!

My vision for Farmstand 1772 is a little different than your typical roadside stand. I want it to feel like a small old-fashioned country market — filled with homemade, locally inspired and thoughtfully chosen things you’ll actually want to take home.

And of course, Heuss Creations Bakery will be a big part of it. 🤍

I’m having so much fun putting all of this together and can’t wait for you to see what ends up on the shelves!

FARMSTAND UPDATE:

We are getting closer every day to opening the doors of our brand-new Farmstand.

Things are moving fast around here, and we are currently finishing out the interior. Thank god for A/C. 😂

Aside from all the progress, our hearts are full. We welcomed a sweet new granddaughter into the family! Because of this wonderful news, our time is currently being shared between hammering nails, recipe testing, inventory stocking and soaking in those precious newborn cuddles.

We appreciate your patience as we balance it all. We promise the wait will be worth it!

Stay tuned for our official opening date in the coming weeks. We cannot wait to share our fresh bakery treats, cozy home items, and comforting ready-made meals- with all of you very soon.

I just love what I do ❤️. This wedding cake was beautiful as a blank canvas but was absolutely stunning after I added the florals and topper.

The two tiered cake is a show stopper. The top tier is vanilla bean cake, filled with fresh strawberries and iced in cream cheese buttercream adorned in candied pearls.

Bottom tier is for show only and non edible but also iced in cream cheese buttercream and adorned with candied pearls.

This was my first time catering at on grand in Des Moines, it was a beautiful location.

Congratulations to the bride and groom and thank you for having me be a part of your special day.

PS…. I don’t always get to see the bride or converse with the wedding party but today was the exception and I got to witness the brides first look with her girls and everyone I met was genuinely sweet and very welcoming.

Again congrats on your wedding day.

FREE SAMPLES: ALL HAVE BEEN SPOKEN FOR

This post is for all the people who wanted to be taste testers. I am dialing in my recipes for the Farmstand and there is no way we can or want to eat all of these.

This go around this is what you will receive.

Vanilla Blueberry crunch granola
Strawberries and Cream Granola
Farmhouse Ranch Snack Mix
Cinnamon roll
Chocolate Chip cookie bucket
Old-Fashioned Oatmeal Cream pie

I also have a Hot & Fire snack mix if you like spicy, let me know and I’ll include it.

There will be plain bagels and cream cheese if I get them done in time.

I need 6 taste testers. They will be available tomorrow ONLY at my residence. Please don’t offer to taste test of tomorrow does not work for you.

I will update when they are all spoken for.

Just an fyi the cookie bucket is a mini for sample purposes only. I will include a pic of what the large cookie bucket will actually look like for the Farmstand.

Time is getting away from me lately but I wanted to share all the desserts from the last couple weeks. There have been a lot of wonderful celebrations: birthdays, baby showers and engagements.

I have to say I’m in love with the “Two Sweet” cake theme and the oatmeal cream pies are delicious 😋

The Strawberry Cream dessert shooter was also a huge hit. And we can’t forget the Scotcharoos. ❤️❤️❤️
