Where have I been? 😊

Life has been wonderfully busy!

Between the ag business keeping me on my toes, a much-needed mini vacation, the addition of a Farmstand (building should arrive in a couple weeks, yeah), and the exciting news that both of our daughters are expecting, we’ve been absolutely immersed in planning baby showers and celebrating this special season of life.

Needless to say, the bakery has taken a bit of a back seat the last few weeks while we’ve soaked up these precious moments.

But life is finally starting to settle down, and I’m excited to say… I’m back! 💕

That means more fresh bakes, more custom cakes, more new creations, and more time doing what I love—creating something special for all of you.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for sticking with me while I enjoyed this busy chapter with my family.

Fifty years ago, they cut into their wedding cake and began a lifetime of memories together. This weekend, they celebrated their Golden Anniversary with a replica of that very same cake (on a smaller scale 😁)💛

50 years of love, laughter, family, and countless blessings. What an honor to recreate a small piece of their special day and help celebrate such an incredible milestone.

I’ve been a little MIA lately, and for good reason…

For the past few months, we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on something new, and I’m finally ready to share a little sneak peek!

Coming soon to Heuss Creations Bakery is a self-serve farmstand filled with your favorite bakery treats, grab and go meals, to go lattes, and lemonades, along with a carefully curated collection of home goods, gifts, teas, seasonal finds, and all the little things I love. Think bakery, general store, farmhouse charm, and vintage mercantile all rolled into one.

It’s been a labor of love, and I can’t wait to welcome you through the doors. ❤️

I’ve attached a rendering of what the building will look like. I’m so excited for the next few months as we work to get it open for business.

Double the birthdays, double the fun! 🐉🎂

These two birthday kiddos are celebrating in true dragon-riding style with matching How to Train Your Dragon themed cakes! Featuring two layers of my classic white cake filled and frosted with traditional buttercream, these cakes were the perfect centerpiece for their special day.

🌿 Early morning herb harvests are one of my favorite parts of summer! Fresh herbs from the garden are finding their way into baked goods and homemade cream cheese spreads for bagels whenever possible. Fresh ingredients really do make a difference. 🥯💚
