Having a small business may sound like the dream, but there’s a lot of moments like this where you think you’ve put out all the fires, and then the ice machine starts not working (for the 5th time). Don’t get me wrong it is very rewarding to have a small business, and at the end of the day we wouldn’t want it any other way, though we certainly like to dream about it. It’s constantly putting out fires, missing out on things with family or friends, spending your “off time” with your head inside some piece of equipment, trying and make it all work for another day. Other small business owners we know the struggle is real, that’s why we are starting small business Fridays where other small business owners get 10% off their purchase. It’s not much, but it’s just our way of saying we see you, and we appreciate all the work you put in behind the scenes.

New spring drinks are here. My favorite on the menu is a Mont Blanc. Created and popularized in Australia. It’s cold brew slightly sweetened with orange syrup, then topped with a thick layer of vanilla/orange cold foam, freshly grated nutmeg, and orange peel.
