I honestly don’t even know where to begin. ❤️
This week, our last week of business, has been one of the most bittersweet experiences of my life. I knew closing was going to be emotional, but I don’t think I could have ever prepared myself for the amount of love and support we received from this community.
To every customer, friend, family member, and supporter who came out this week, thank you. Thank you for showing up and showing OUT for us. 🥹❤️ We had people bring us gifts, come by just to tell us how much they love our food, and remind us how proud they are of everything we’ve built. I’ve spent the last few days hearing things like, “We love your food,” “We’re proud of you,” and “You have to come back.” I truly don’t have the words to explain what that has meant to me. I started this business so young, and I have poured so much time, energy, love, tears, sacrifice, and a huge part of my life into Taco Vida. To see that it has touched so many people makes every single hard day worth it.
I know I said we’d be gone for a couple of weeks, maybe a month… but the truth is, I honestly don’t know what the future holds. And this week has made everything feel so much more real. But for now, I’m just choosing to be grateful. Grateful to God for giving me this opportunity. Grateful for every lesson, every experience, every person who has crossed paths with us, and every single person who has supported Taco Vida along the way. I have no words other than THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart. ❤️ And to everyone who keeps telling me, “We’ll be waiting for you”…
I cannot wait to be back. 🌮❤️
Until then, thank you for making this last week one I will never forget. 🥹
Sincerely, Brittany Alvarez 🫶
