My name is Kevin McCormick owner of Keep it Smokin’ BBQ a mobile bbq unit established in 2010 operating out of Washington County MD. We are a small family owned operation specializing in only fresh meats and sides. My barbequing experience first began when I was a child stoking fire’s with my grandpa Victor cooking meats over an open pit style barbeque. I knew then I had the passion for barbeque.

Our goal is to provide our customers with a wide variety of smoked and grilled meats with a unique style but also staying true to traditional barbeque. We will continue to expand our menu in order to bring different regions of barbeque to the area.

After a nice little break we are back at it for a long stretch. Setup location Saturday August 29th 8am-4pm Shippensburg Corn Festival. Serving up breakfast sandwiches 8am-10am and 10am-4pm for our usual lunch favorites. Thank you as always for the continuous support and please share away to get the word out!

We finally had a weekend off and we took the advantage to spend it with genuine life long friends. Good friends are hard to find especially as you get older your circles get smaller. But there’s always room in my circle for real friends!

Well we completed our first week of training. I have to say at times it went well she never really spoke so I didn’t have to answer many questions or deal with much attitude. The main issue was she fell asleep on the job a lot and constantly wanted to eat. When I brought this to her attention she threatened to call her local union representative “little precious babies local teamsters”!

Now that the dust has settled I wanted to thank the people that make it possible! I am truly blessed to have the best team. They put up with my crazy obsessive compulsive controlling ways. Also my moody and crankiness. It’s such a good feeling to have a staff that also cares and has the passion! In this picture we are missing two of our main girls my mom and Jamie Jackson!

Last day at the Washington County Ag center. So let’s close strong the weather is beautiful and the food is fresh as always. When you see me please take it easy on me I feel and look 70 years old I been out here grinding for 8 straight days. Please share and get the word out!

So we been selling out every night and the crowds been getting restless saying “put more on!” Okay well I got the pit loaded today. So we better see you out here this evening!

Due to possible afternoon and evening rain we will not be opening today Tuesday July 21st. Yes we understand weather can change but our decision has to be made 5 hours before opening. Yes it might not rain at all but with the threat we would rather not lose product and lose money. We hope you understand and we apologize for any inconvenience.
