It is a bittersweet announcement that we are selling the restaurant. I’m guessing we will be open for around another 2 months while all the paperwork is being processed.
My wife and I are part owners along with others. We both have a regular jobs, me as a software engineer at Directv during the week while my wife manages properties. For those who have come to the restaurant on the weekends, you’ve likely seen me at the corner table keeping our daughter entertained. My wife on the other hand has been working six days a week, shopping at warehouses, helping to prep and cook while also managing the bills/budget.
For the past two plus years, we’ve been in the process of adopting two girls from Thailand. Thailand has finally completed work on their end and is getting passports ready. Right now we have very little free time juggling our regular jobs and restaurant work. Once our new daughters arrive we feel time with them needs to be a priority. Not only will they be learning a new language, they also will be learning a new culture, having to make new friends, etc. At this point we feel that time bonding with our two new daughters and helping them adjust will be more valuable than earning extra cash from restaurant ownership (but having no time). This was a big reason we have decided to sell.
Perhaps we will open a restaurant again in the future when all three of our daughters are older. But until then, thank you very much for your business and letting us serve our Thai food to you for these past 14 months.
