🎄 NOW BOOKING HOLIDAY PARTIES WITH CHEF JESS 🎄

The holidays are for enjoying your people—not spending the entire party stuck in the kitchen.

I’m opening a limited number of dates for private holiday events:

✨ Friendsgiving and family gatherings
✨ Company and client celebrations

I’ll create the menu, handle the cooking and help make your gathering feel genuinely special—while you relax and enjoy your guests.

I was honestly blown away by the response to yesterday’s post. So many kind words, old friends, former coworkers and people cheering me on. It reminded me how much I love this industry—and especially the people in it. ❤️

One thing I’m deeply passionate about is mental health in hospitality.

I have such a soft spot for young, up-and-coming cooks and restaurant people trying to find their place in the world. Because honestly, I think that’s part of what drew me to this business in the first place.

Hospitality has always been a place where people who don’t quite fit anywhere else somehow fit perfectly.

The future rock ’n’ roll stars.
The pirates.
The aspiring actors.
The single moms and dads.
The artists, dreamers, weirdos and beautiful misfits.

The people posing with fish heads, wielding knives and occasionally lighting things on fire. 😂

Those are my people.

Restaurants can become a family, a creative outlet and a place where someone discovers what they’re capable of. But they can also be chaotic, demanding and incredibly hard on mental and physical health.

I’m probably not your standard buttoned-up business professional. I’m a little weird, a little loud, deeply human—and I know restaurants from the inside out. I believe professionalism and personality can coexist. So can high standards and compassion.

I want to help create kitchens where people are expected to work hard—but are also taught, supported, respected and treated like human beings.

Because you can build a successful restaurant without destroying the people helping you build it.

And maybe that’s another piece of what comes next for me. ❤️

And again, if you’re just here for the crazy fish pics… that’s ok too 😉

Well… I figured it was time for a little reintroduction. 😊

Hi! I’m Jessica… chef, recovering restaurant owner 😂, educator, problem solver, professional plate spinner, and apparently someone who can’t walk through a farmers market without buying way too many vegetables.

Most people know me because I’ve been in kitchens for… let’s just say a while. 😜 More than 25 years, actually.

I’ve opened restaurants, fixed restaurants, run kitchens, taught thousands of people to cook, survived more Sunday Brunches than I can count, and learned that hospitality isn’t really about food…

It’s about people. 🫶

These days I’m doing something I absolutely love: helping restaurants and hospitality businesses get unstuck.

🍅Sometimes that means creating a menu people can’t stop talking about.
🧐Sometimes it means figuring out why food costs are out of control.
🫶Sometimes it’s coaching a chef who’s drowning.
❤️Sometimes it’s helping an owner finally enjoy their business again.

And yes… I still private chef from time to time because getting people excited about good food will always make my heart ridiculously happy. ❤️

So… if you know a restaurant, café, brewery, market, or hospitality business that could use another set of experienced eyes (and maybe a little tough love 😉), I’d love an introduction.

I’m officially taking on a few consulting projects, and I’m really excited to see where this next chapter goes.

Also… if you just came for the pretty chef picture, that’s okay too. 😆
