The final goodbye

Hello all! First, thank you so much to everyone who showed up and supported us in our final weeks. We shared so many amazing memories, tears, hugs and food with everyone and we want you to know how much we appreciate and love you all.

Everyone at the window was asking about getting one last piece of Gold Dino via merch, so we teamed with our friends at Method Ink (https://www.methodinkprinting.com/) in Des Moines, Iowa (our hometown) to create a website for y’all to order one last GDVD shirt.

GDVD pops up!

We told you we would be gone from our brick and mortar, but the spirit of Gold Dinos lives on! We will be serving a small menu at a show on 2/9 at the Ice House (https://ice49.com/) in Gulfport. Brian, one of the owners plays in a screamo band called In Loving Memory (https://www.instagram.com/inlovingmemory_screamo/?hl=en) and will be playing the show along with quite a few other bands. (We know it's on SuperBowl Sunday so we will also be streaming the game livel.) It is an all ages, ticketed event, so you do need to purchase tickets in order to get in to grab some food.

The End of an Era

🤗 These will be pre-orders and the store will be open through Feb 9th. This will be our last merch offer ever so we tried to pick good colors and quality shirts for y’all. Shirts will ship directly to you within 21 days after the pre-order closes. ✨

Welp. It’s here, yall. The last day of Golden Dinosaurs. Thank you so much for showing up for us in our last week. We love the !! GDVD FOREVER!!!!!!
To everyone coming on the day of our extinction, we expect high wait times and will probably have to cut off ordering early-ish. So plan accordingly! You can always give us a call to see what wait times are and if we can, we will take online and phone orders. Just wanted to give the cool people who were lined up at 10 AM first dibs.

Come visit us for our very last where we discount burgers and burger melts $2! We also have the Bea Arthur and Grilled Chickies (bbq or Nashville hot style). Me and Liz want to reminisce with y’all so come to window and let’s cry together 😓

we told you we have a few last tricks up our sleeve… 🪄 so starting NOW we will have BEA ARTHUR for our last week!! YEAH YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT!!! (We sadly don’t have curly fries tho but you can still make it a combo with waffle or beach fries!) we also have a delicious grilled soy curl sammy that you can get either bbq or Nashville hot style with coleslaw, mayo, and cheddar on choice of brioche or onion bun!

and we still have brunch from 11-3 today!! We have breakfast burritos, and bagel sammies, but sadly we have no donuts today 😭😭

Dearest GDVD family,

The era of vegan restaurant extinction seems to be upon us and Gold Dinos will unfortunately not survive the apocalypse. All jokes aside, we will be celebrating the final day of Golden Dinosaurs next Sunday 1/19. This past fiscal year combined with back to back hurricanes was the final nail in the coffin, and we’ve had to make the extremely difficult decision to shut her down.

We plan on turning our focus to our sister restaurant in St. Pete.�We want to take this time to thank the best staff in the world, and look forward to seeing most of them over at Good Intentions! That being said, please be patient with us during our last week as we expect it to be busy so everyone can come get their final Dino meal.�We also want to thank YOU! We wouldn’t be here at all without you, and we’re so grateful for your continued support.

Thanks to our friends and families during this difficult time for being there for us emotionally. This was not an easy decision and we’re already grieving the loss of our very unique little spot. Keep an eye on our socials this week as we have a few farewell tricks up our sleeves and can’t wait to see you all this weekend and next week!
