The Place Restaurant is a truly unusual outdoor seafood restaurant in Guilford CT where visitors dine outdoors while a crackling wood fire roasts savory clams, smoky lobsters, sweet corn and much more. Instead of chairs, tree stumps encircle bright red tables, decorated with a bottle of freshly cut flowers. One large menu towers over the dining area, allowing diners to see all their options as smi

Summer breeze makes you feel fine? Then come enjoy some al fresco dining at The Place! We are open for our regular hours this week and will kick off the 4th of July an hour early on Saturday at noon. No need to fire up the grill, Dad - we’ve got you covered! Join us at The Place this Father’s Day weekend and take your pick of our smoky, savory surf and turf (and more!) Can’t get enough? Start dropping hints - our certificates make great Father’s Day gifts!

Starting this weekend, The Place will remain open later for our summer hours (until 9pm Sunday-Thursday and 10pm Friday-Saturday). We will also have extended hours tomorrow for Juneteenth (Friday 6/19) from 12-9pm. So many reasons to celebrate!
