We opened our doors December of 2017 and the immediate outpouring of support from the members of our great community was tremendous. We wanted the brewery to be a small local neighborhood brewery, a place of inclusion where people could come enjoy a locally made beer and meet their neighbors in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We accomplished that goal and are very proud of what the brewery has become over the years. We have watched strangers becoming friends, families of two grow to three and four and witness little ones as they grow up.
However, as we have seen in the last year and a half life can take different a different direction very quickly. We have successfully navigated a pandemic that shut down our taproom for over a year, all while expanding our operations and opening up a new taproom. After a lot of discussion and difficult decision making, we have decided to close our doors at the end of the month. John has some well deserved retirement to enjoy, while DJ will be spending more time with his wife and two children. It is bittersweet (DJ dad pun), but it is the right thing for us right now.
We encourage anyone with a gift card to come and use it. We will be discounting our products to move as much inventory before we close. We will also be open on two Sundays, the 12 and 19th 1-6pm. (You may even catch some John sightings this month!)
Again, we can’t begin to thank you all for the incredible support over the past few years, and we hope to see you all soon!
Cheers, Bittersweet Brewing Co.
