The Gibbet Hill Grill is at the forefront of the local food movement. We are one of the only restaurants in New England that has a produce farm on site with a menu shaped around the seasonal harvests. In the summer, the majority of our produce is grown right on our farm. We grow over 40 varieties of heirloom tomatoes, squashes and zucchini, heirloom beets, radishes, greens, peppers, beans, potatoe

s, specialty onions, herbs, and many other crops, all of which can be seen on our menu throughout the year. We keep a root cellar and have winter greenhouses in order to expand our growing season. In addition, we also source from other local farms and food purveyors to feature the best of what the region has to offer. We bring the farm to your fork, literally. The roots of this restaurant are in farming. Before the Grill existed, Gibbet Hill Farm was a working Black Angus cattle farm. When we set out to build a restaurant on this land, we wanted to preserve the important history of the farm. Renovating the 100-year old post-and-beam cattle barn for our restaurant was the first step. We kept the energy and spirit of the barn intact, while providing an elegant, beautiful space to dine and socialize. We are a family-owned business, and we are from Groton – indeed, many of our relatives dine at the Grill on a regular basis! Of paramount importance to us is that you are comfortable and feel welcomed in our restaurant. Our service is attentive and professional, without being overbearing. Our menu has variety to suit every palate. We welcome families with their kids and can accommodate virtually any size group. From the moment you step inside our doors our goal is to anticipate your needs and exceed your expectations. https://twitter.com/GibbetHillGrill

This week's Home Field Advantage cocktail was created by our server, Molly! The Capri Sea features sun-dried heirloom tomato and bush basil vodka, a salty olive brine, and is finished with a garlic olive oil drizzle. Garnished with a mozzarella, cherry tomato, and basil sprig. A salty, savory treat! Cheers!

If you were at Gibbet Hill on Wednesday, you couldn’t miss it: hundreds of runners, cheering spectators, smiling volunteers, and plenty of friendly competition! Every year, Webber Restaurant Group hosts the Gibbet Hill Cattle Run & BBQ, a community fundraiser benefiting local Massachusetts nonprofits with races for all ages, a barbecue, live music, and a whole lot of fun.

But the competition isn’t just for our guests! Each Webber Restaurant Group business enters a team in an intercompany challenge where each business competes for the traveling trophy (and, of course, a little bragging rights).

This year, Gibbet Hill was proud to have two teams representing us!

🏆 A huge congratulations to our championship team of Chef Ryan, Farmer Joe, and our server, Sam, for bringing the trophy back to Gibbet Hill!! Look for it behind the bar!

And a big shoutout to Ava, Ethan, and Murphy for proudly representing the Grill on our second team. You all gave it your best and made us very proud!

Congratulations to every Webber Restaurant Group team that participated. This friendly rivalry is one of our favorite Cattle Run traditions, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year! ❤️🏃🏆

Did you know that Massachusetts was America's first hop-growing region? Long before the Pacific Northwest became famous for hops, Massachusetts was leading the way. The first hop farm in America was established here in 1648, and for nearly 150 years Massachusetts was the country's top supplier of hops used in brewing. During Prohibition, however, many of the state's hop fields were torn out, and by the time the ban was repealed, the Pacific Northwest had become America's new hop-growing capital.
Today, we're proud to honor a small piece of Massachusetts' brewing history here at Gibbet Hill Farm.

A returning favorite is back! The Home Field Advantage cocktail this week is the “Fairy Circle”. Created by Chris, the Fairy Circle features blueberry-infused vodka and gin, infused for two weeks with fresh blueberries, lemon balm, and bee balm. It’s mixed with white cranberry juice, fresh lemon juice, and blueberry syrup, then topped with Cava for a light, sparkling finish. Use your blueberry skewer to play with the glitter and a delicate thyme fairy crown. This enchanting cocktail is as beautiful as it is delicious!
