Tonight something unexpected happened at Friendlythai…

A customer picked up food around 7:25 PM. At 8:30 PM, it was snowing, and I saw him waiting outside — I thought maybe he was waiting for a taxi, so I went out to help him inside. He politely refused.

Just a couple of minutes later… the police arrived, asking for our IDs. 😳

The customer had called 911, claiming he got food poisoning from us! The officers asked specifically if any grapefruit was in his order.

It turns out he likely had an allergic reaction to citrus — grapefruit or makrut lime — not food poisoning.

This is a strong reminder: food allergies can happen quickly and feel serious.

If you have any allergies, especially citrus, please let us know before ordering. We will always adjust your dish to keep you safe. 💚
