This Thursday June 11th, we’re featuring one of our most beloved and requested dishes: our Signature Indian Butter Chicken.

We can’t tell you how many times we’ve heard someone say, “I don’t usually like Indian food” or “I’m not a fan of curry,” only to come back and tell us it’s now one of their favorite meals at Pangea Global Kitchen. Even kids can’t get enough of Indian butter chicken—it’s always a big hit at the dinner table.

So what makes it so special? Tender chicken is simmered in a rich, creamy, slightly citrusy sauce that’s deeply flavored with traditional spices—but not spicy. It’s comforting, approachable, and packed with flavor, served with our signature Pangea rice and warm naan bread for soaking up every last bite. It’s so good we turned it into a shawarma!

The most stressful 3 seconds in the kitchen:

3. Pray.

Thankfully, Lionel has mastered all three.

Another perfect rice flip. No collapse, no cleanup, no panic—just a beautiful rice cake and Lionel making it look easy.

In all seriousness, while we like to have fun with moments like this, Lionel is an incredibly important part of our team. His skill, consistency, leadership, and willingness to help wherever needed make him a tremendous asset to our kitchen. He sets a great example every day and helps keep things running smoothly, even during our busiest moments.

We’re lucky to have him on the Pangea team—and we’re especially glad he’s on rice-flip duty. 🍚👏

For more than a century, Lake St. Clair has been a playground for boaters. Some of the most famous vessels to ever cruise these waters belonged to Detroit’s automotive pioneers. The Dodge family owned the legendary Nokomis II before launching the magnificent Delphine in 1921—a floating palace that became one of the most celebrated private yachts in the world. The Ford family also maintained an impressive fleet of Great Lakes vessels that helped build Detroit’s industrial legacy.

Today, while the yachts may be a little smaller, the tradition is still alive and well.
