Mimi's Bistro in Grosse Pointe Park is a charming 44-seat restaurant, café and bakery serving breakfast and lunch all day and Brunch only on Sundays. A namesake for owner Melanie Schridde's German great-grandmother with a gallery, The Charles Schridde Gallery, connected showcasing her fathers art, and local artists. Mimi's proudly offers an elegant dining experience in an easygoing European-inspir

ed atmosphere. Additionally, Mimi's uses organic ingredients that are sourced (whenever possible) from local purveyors. “I want to serve the meals your grandmother used to make. But in an environment that feels polished and elegant,” says Schridde. The menu offers a well-curated offering of American and European fare, not to mention delicious weekly specials. (There's even a few of Mimi's old recipes on there too!)

Sundays at Mimi's offers Brunch with some classics such as Eggs Benedict. You can also ask for some of our items on our menu to take home such as our dressings, doughs etc. Just inquire with your server or give us a call to make a request. More than a restaurant, Mimi's is committed to being active in the community by giving to our homeless. Fell free to inquire on what you can do to help. As Schridde puts it, “It's not just about the food, it's about the entire experience.”

*Most items on Mimi's menu can be customized for those on vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, low fat and/or heart-smart diets. Hours of operation are: Thursday-Monday 8:00am-3:00pm. Breakfast and lunch offered all days except for Sundays, brunch only.

Come join me for a great cause at the Catfe lounge in Ferndale this Sunday for Internationsl Woman’s Day. There will be yummy treats, Mimis own,“Brownie Bomb“ and food available for purchase, all proceeds go to the Haven located in Oakland county, Pontiac.

Many of you may have already discovered, in September, I decided not to continue any sort of food production and events in the Mimi‚s Bistro space on Jefferson in Grosse Pointe Park. Instead I have moved closer to home to focus on our brownie business and my fathers art by selling them on line through e-commerce websites. I am currently rebranding the brownies from Mimi’s Bistro brownies to the Best Fudging Brownies, with hopes of launching our websites in the beginning of the new year. Our brownies can still be purchased in Detroit at Honeybee Market, Midtown Market, Meijer Rivertown Market and Ima Summertime Fresh Bar, also in Royal Oak at Holiday Market and Meijer Corner Market, in Ferndale at Western Market and in Grosse Pointe at Fresh Farms Market. We will continue to post our progress here and and as well as on our pages. Thank you again for all your support and patronage at Mimi’s bistro. I have deeply missed serving you and being a part of your community and families.

I have had the pleasure to have worked with Renee for almost as long as Mimi’s has been open. Her hard work and love for my business and customers has helped build Mimi’s to what it has become today. It has been a pleasure working with you my friend ❤️🦔

I am sad to report that Mimis will not be reopening after the holidays. I am thankful for everyone, my staff, new friends and patrons for your support and generosity for the past 9 years. I am so grateful to have included you all in fulfilling my dream. Unfortunately, it has been a rough transition after the last few years, the industry has changed so much and it has taken a toll. I am taking this time to restructure my brownie business and recover from all of the challenges I have encountered. I will continue to offer catering starting in September and please continue to follow our future endeavors and progress.

Memorial Day weekend is coming up! We will be closed on Saturday and Sunday for it- but it would be a great idea to take some food with you on your travels before you go. Give us a call Thursday or Friday for pick-up orders including any menu item or desserts to go!

When was the last time you had a brunch burger? These were my go-to for many many Sundays. Savory and delicious brunch option that always leaves me more than satisfied. You can spruce it up however you would like with additional avocado or mushrooms, onions, etc.

There truly is something for everyone whether it be a Baby Spinach Salad, a Mimi's Classic, Jutta's Pancakes, Chorizo and Eggs, or any sandwich of your choosing~
