I have been a celiac for 16 years. My husband has a culinary degree, and I am a Family and Consumer Science teacher. My husband Mark retired from the military after 32 years. We moved BACK to Iowa in 2018 after his retirement. My family and I decided to open a family-owned business as the celiacs outnumber the non in this household. After my daughter received a culinary degree and now my son is in
school for his as well. We decided to go ahead and open a home-based business. Our house was built in 2019 here in Altoona, Iowa, and it has never had wheat flour on its Premises. My family is all from the East Side, and MOST graduated from East High School. Our goal is to provide Gluten Free meals to the people on the East side, and I certainly hope all of you from different sides of town come on in and enjoy our food just as I head West to enjoy yours. We hope to be a another GF small business to support you in your quest for good quality GF meals. I know I have enjoyed so many GF places and usually stick to the places I never get sick from. I assure you we strive to be that for you as well!! I have found myself sicker than I would like to admit and down for a few days after bad restaurant experiences. Especially during the first years of my diagnosis!!! All I wanted to do is stay home with my celiac kids and never eat out again!! Try us out!! We would love to serve you!!!
