Before there was Basil’s, there was a whole lot of history. 🤎

Gretna got its start with the Burlington Railroad in 1886, was officially platted in 1887, and incorporated in 1889. The railroad helped turn Gretna into a busy little community and important livestock shipping center, while the town itself grew into the Gretna we know today. We love having a little piece of that history on our walls. So next time you’re in, take a look around. You might learn something before your pasta arrives.
