This note is from Amanda:

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up for my last bartending shift. Whether you came because you actually like me, wanted one last drink, or just wanted to make sure I really wasn't coming back, I appreciate you.

Thanks for 11 years of bad jokes, questionable decisions, free therapy sessions, and "just one more" drinks. You all made this job unforgettable.

I'm officially retiring from asking, "What can I get you?" and "Do you want to start a tab?" If you need me, I'll be on the other side of the bar, making someone else listen to my problems for a change.

Seriously though, thank you all for making my last night one hell of a sendoff. Love you all!

With all the new followers we’ve had lately, I figured it’s a better time than ever to introduce myself as we move into the next evolution of Thirsty’s Pub, so without further ado… I’m Shannan Slobodnik, and I’m the proud owner of Thirsty’s Pub.

Before becoming a bar owner, I spent 31 years building a career in sales with First Data (now Fiserv). I loved working with my customers and the relationships I built over the years, but when it came time to retire, I wasn't ready to stop working — I was ready for a new adventure.

That adventure led me to Thirsty's Pub.

When I purchased the bar 10 years ago, my goal wasn't simply to own a business. I wanted to create a place where everyone felt welcome — a neighborhood pub where people could relax, laugh with friends, watch the game, celebrate life's milestones, and make lasting memories.

The best part of owning Thirsty's has never been the drinks or the games. It's the people. I've been fortunate to meet incredible customers who have become friends, watch families grow, celebrate weddings and birthdays, and share in both happy moments and difficult times. That's what makes Thirsty's special.

Now we're entering an exciting new chapter as we move into our new location. While the building may be changing, the heart of Thirsty's never will. You'll still find the same friendly faces, the same welcoming atmosphere, and the same commitment to making everyone who walks through our doors feel like they belong.

Whether you've been with us since day one or are visiting for the first time, thank you for being part of this incredible journey. I can't wait to welcome you to our new home and make many more memories together.

Cheers,
Shannan

To My Thirstys Family,

Today I want to share some bittersweet news with all of you.

After 10 incredible years, Amanda has decided to step away from bartending. While we’re certainly going to miss seeing her behind the bar, we’re also excited for this next chapter in her life as she focuses on her own business and enjoys some well-deserved personal time.

It’s hard to put into words what Amanda has meant to Thirstys. She has been so much more than an employee—she has been a teammate, a leader, a friend, and someone I could always count on. Whether it was picking up a last-minute shift, helping wherever she was needed, or simply making our customers feel welcome, Amanda gave this place her heart.

Over the years, she helped create the atmosphere that has made Thirstys feel like a second home for so many of us. She has been part of countless memories, friendships, laughs, celebrations, and milestones. Her impact on this bar and on all of us will last far beyond her last shift.

Amanda, thank you for your loyalty, your hard work, your kindness, and the love you’ve poured into Thirstys for the past 10 years. You have truly been a blessing to me and to this business, and I will always be grateful.

The best part is that this isn’t goodbye. Amanda may be stepping away from bartending, but she’ll always be part of the Thirstys family, and I know we’ll be seeing her at the new Thirstys as a friend and a customer.

Please join me in thanking Amanda for 10 unforgettable years and wishing her nothing but success and happiness in everything that comes next.

If you get the chance, stop by Thirstys on Monday, July 6, to share a hug, a story, or simply wish Amanda well on her last day behind the bar

❤️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and longtime Thirsty's Pub family member, Nick Burger.

Nick was a regular at our bar for years. When I posted that I needed a bartender, he simply said, "I'll be a bartender." It turned out to be one of the best decisions ever made for Thirsty's Pub — and for me personally.

Nick always had a smile on his face. He never hesitated to pick up a last-minute shift and became an incredible help by taking over inventory. He was dependable, kind, hardworking and someone everyone loved being around. He was truly an asset to this place and will be deeply missed.

Rest in peace, Nick. We love you.

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

We also want to say a heartfelt thank you to all military members — past and present — for your service, sacrifice, and dedication to this country. Freedom is never free, and we are grateful for those who have carried that burden for all of us.

From all of us at Thirstys Pub — thank you, and God bless our heroes. 🇺🇸

We are open today at 3 o’clock. Come say hi to Roxanne.
