There’s a super moon tonight! Will y’all be checking it out?

Our little explorers learned about the moon and our final class of the season this week. Using flour in a cake pan, and found objects from around outside, our explorers learned how craters are formed on the moon.

They took turns, dropping their found objects onto the flour with varying levels of force, then removed them to see how the size, weight, and force of their objects affected the size of the crater.

🥶 FYI: The water is extremely cold these days. Like, so cold that it's hard to stick our hands in there to scoop out leaves. Keep this in mind for your little ones, who may have even more sensitive skin than us. 🫶
