❤️ Just a little reminder — The Takery is OPEN! ❤️

The Takery has not closed while Wayne and I have been here in Memphis with Keeleigh. My team has stepped up in a BIG way and is working hard every single day to keep us up and running while I’m away.

So please, don’t skip us just because I’m not there! Those ladies are the very same ladies who prepare your food every day. They know what they’re doing, and I trust them to take care of you just like they always have.

Right now, we need your support as much as ever. Every lunch, every supper, every takeout order and every person who walks through our doors helps keep our little business going while our family is focused on getting Keeleigh better and back home.

I could never put into words how thankful I am for my team for holding down the fort and for our community for loving and supporting us through all of this.

So go eat at The Takery! They’re OPEN, they’re cooking, and they’re ready to feed you!

Update on Keeleigh! ❤️

Today has been a tad bit better. Keeleigh has rested a lot, eaten some, and had PT and OT, which are always hard, but we got through them. Wayne and I have tried to rest when she rests, too.

Every night Wayne says he’s going home tomorrow to try to work, but when tomorrow comes, he has such a hard time leaving her. He told me that knock on our door took 10 years off his life, and I believe it did.

I think we are both just now starting to really feel the emotions of everything that has happened. We know without a doubt that the Lord placed His hands on our girl, and only through Him is she lying in this bed today, dreading another round of PT. And while we are more thankful than words could ever express, we’re still mad that she has to go through this. I think it’s okay to be grateful and still admit that this is hard.

We know every trial has a lesson and a blessing somewhere in it, but right now, this is just hard.

What we also know without a doubt is that Keeleigh is going to be okay. She is going to get through this. She wants to get back to her school babies, and that’s what we’re continuing to focus on, getting stronger every day and getting her back to the life she loves.

Please pray that the right rehab facility opens up for her and that God places her exactly where she needs to be. Pray that each day Keeleigh gets a little stronger and that Wayne and I do, too.

Thank you for every prayer, every message, every call, and most of all, thank you for loving our girl. We feel it, and I promise you, so does she. ❤️🙏

Update on Keeleigh!!

Today has been hard. Keeleigh had OT, PT, and so many other people in and out of her room. She’s very agitated and still has no recollection of what happened to her. Her eyes still aren’t opening much. One hasn’t opened at all, and the other has only opened a little. They think the swelling from her broken nose is causing the issues with her eyes. As for now she will not have surgery to fix her nose.

Wayne and I washed her hair, gave her a bath, and cleaned the blood from her nails. She’s all cleaned up now, and we’re thankful we could do that for her.

PT talked with us about both inpatient and outpatient therapy. They’ll consult with the trauma team and work with us to decide what’s best for Keeleigh. They want to hear from the family and understand the full picture before making that decision. As much as we both need to be working, we told them to make the decision that’s in Keeleigh’s best interest.

Please pray specifically that Keeleigh will understand that everyone is here to help her heal, and that she’ll be able to work with them toward that same goal. We’re so grateful for your continued prayers.
