Last Night was the BREW Pitch and Graduation ceremony, and I am truly grateful for the experience.
These past 12 weeks have been full of information, growth, challenges, and encouragement. When I first signed up for the BREW Program, I honestly did not know what to expect.
The program was fast-paced and overwhelming at times, and there were moments when I felt like giving up. But every time I showed up to class, I was encouraged by the amazing women in the program who reminded me, โYou got this.โ
Throughout this journey, I learned so much, but I also gained something just as valuable: genuine relationships with women who started as fellow participants and became like sisters. That alone was a major win for me.
We were originally told that the program had $1,000 in funding that seven of us would be competing for. But during the ceremony, we learned that $8,000 had been funded, allowing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, while every participant would still receive either $250 or $500.
Although I was not one of the top three winners, I am still walking away with $500, and honestly, it feels just as meaningful as the $1,000 I was hoping for.
I am truly thankful for the relationships I built, the knowledge I gained, and the opportunity to be part of this program.
Thank you to the Pitt Community College Small Business Center and everyone involved in the BREW Program for pouring into us, encouraging us, and helping us grow as entrepreneurs.
I am leaving this experience better, stronger, and more prepared for the next step in my business journey.
