# # # Forced to Close: The Impact of Unfair Practices and Public Bashing on Our Local Restaurant

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our cherished local restaurant. Despite our best efforts to serve the community and provide a welcoming space, we have been forced to shut our doors due to the actions of our landlord and the unfair public bashing by another local business owner.

**Unfair Treatment by the Landlord:**
Our journey began with hope when the landlord leased us the building. However, it soon turned into a struggle as the landlord imposed unreasonable rent increases and restrictive terms. Instead of fostering a supportive relationship, the landlord chose to publicly bash our restaurant, contributing to a toxic environment that made it increasingly difficult to operate.To make sure we closed the land lord wouldn't renew lease & pushed the sale of the building $200,000

**Public Bashing by Another Business Owner:**
Adding to our challenges, another small business owner in town, along with some local officials, joined in the public bashing. This unwarranted criticism and spread of misinformation have not only damaged our reputation but also demoralized our dedicated staff. It's disheartening to see members of our own community turning against us instead of supporting one another.

**Impact on the Community:**
The closure of our restaurant is a significant loss for the community. We have been more than just a place to dine; we have been a gathering spot for families, friends, and local events. Our commitment to quality and service has been unwavering, and it is deeply painful to see our efforts undermined by unfair practices and hostile actions.

**Call to Action:**
As we bid farewell to our beloved restaurant, we urge the community to reflect on how we can prevent such losses in the future. Support local businesses, stand against unfair practices by landlords, and reject the public bashing of fellow entrepreneurs. By fostering a supportive and fair business environment, we can ensure that small businesses can thrive and continue to enrich our communities.

If you're looking for a place to indulge in smoked ribs, Kmauri's is the place to go! Our small rib plates come with bones, while our large rib plates come with 4 bones.
