Try the boiled peanuts. Or sit and stay a while with a pitcher of sweet tea just for your table.

The BBQ sandwich was delicious. I really think it's comparable to most places in the Upstate. Without any sauce, it may be a little bland.

Yet do not fear! The meat pairs quite nicely with a sauce of your choice.

Seasoned well. Tastes delicious. HOMEMADE sauce.

There aren't too many local places where you can get good brisket. Willowtree has it down!

The pulled pork is delicious and compliments the best with the sauce.

Fountain Inn, SC, has an exceptional BBQ joint in Bobby's BBQ.

Bobby's chops the barbeque right before your eyes - a personalized experience.

There are plenty of options, from pulled pork to brisket to sausage. It really is a paradise for BBQ lovers. 🐖

(Don't forget the fantastic sides!!)

The meat was cooked to perfection - super tender. (You can tell with the hint of pink throughout the meat)

The sauces are delicious - I would love to try them all.

How to Judge the Best Upstate BBQ

Want to find the ? Follow these steps!

STEP 1: Try the BBQ without sauce or slaw.

It's essential to get a taste of the BBQ exactly as it is prepared. I don't like too much fat, so this is a good time to see.

STEP 2: Try the BBQ with sauce

Typically I ask the server what's the best sauce on the menu. Make sure it is not too vinegary, tangy, sweet, or spicy.

STEP 3: Decide if the meat is better with or without sauce

A good BBQ can be eaten without sauce. Of course, I love when sauces taste delicious, but there is just something about eating BBQ exactly as it is that I prefer.

STEP 4: Eat the sandwich as prepared

Now it's time to enjoy your meal! See how the slaw tastes in combo with the BBQ. Ask for another sauce. Just enjoy it and write down the best and worst qualities to see how it stacks up against your competition.
