Last week, we had the honor of meeting the winemaker from Chamonix Estate Wines, Neil Bruwer!
Chamonix Estate’s vineyard is located on the slopes of the Franschheok mountain range in South Africa. The vineyard’s location on the mountain allows for a cool, dry breeze to constantly pass over the vineyard, keeping the grapes refreshed.
To ensure high quality of the vineyard’s plants, Chamonix replanted almost 90 acres of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot in 2023.
Since 1991, Chamonix has prided themselves on cultivating a diverse range of wines that express the raw nature of the land on which they were grown. They are regarded as one of the finest producers of a unique array of wines.
We are excited to bring a taste of South Africa from Chamonix to Cozy Brew at our next wine dinner on June 18th!
Our friend Andy from Elephants Corner Wines will be guiding guests through the rich history of Chamonix Estate, and illustrating how the essence of wines complement each of their respective dishes.
We will see you there!
