We honestly can’t thank you all enough. ❤️

Seeing Smiley light up reading the cards, notes, messages, and prayers people have sent has been so special for us to watch. Every kind word and every act of love has reminded her that there are so many good people surrounding her and cheering her on.

To everyone who took time to write something, stop by, pray, encourage, or simply love on her… thank you. It has truly touched our hearts more than you know.

And a huge thank you to His Hope Ministries for being a drop off location and for loving Smiley so well. We are so grateful.

We love you guys so much. Thank you for helping make her feel so seen, loved, and encouraged.

Hi, Tenchi Family 🤍
We miss you, like always.

To know Smiley is to love her. If you ever came into the restaurant, you probably remember her saying:
“The first visit, you’re a friend. The second visit, you’re family.”

That wasn’t just something she said. She truly lived that way.

Right now, Smiley is in a different season of life and staying at a nursing home where she’s being cared for well. We’re so thankful she’s safe, surrounded by people helping take care of her, and we know hearing from people she loves would mean so much to her.

A lot of times before work, she would sit and write cards, pray for people, and encourage anyone she met. She always had a way of making people feel special, welcomed, and seen. And somehow, even when you said you didn’t want dessert… she’d still convince you to get one 😂

If Smiley has ever touched your heart, encouraged you, made you smile, prayed for you, or made Tenchi feel like home, we would love for you to send her a note, card, picture, or memory ❤️

His Hope Ministries graciously offered to be a drop-off location, and we’ll personally make sure everything gets to her.

We know it would mean the world to her to hear from her Tenchi family.

To all of our Tenchi friends and community ❤️

We really do miss seeing so many of you and sharing life together.

So many of you were a part of our lives for years through Tenchi, and no matter how much time passes, that will always mean something to us. As many of you know, Gelin and I serve at UNITED Church in Milford, and it’s been such a meaningful and healing season for our family.

We know everyone comes from different backgrounds and beliefs, and that’s okay. We just wanted to open the invitation and let you know that if you’d ever like to join us. This Mother’s Day, we would truly love to see you there.

Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or never at all, you are welcome.

And to all the amazing moms and women who give so much of themselves every day, we celebrate you this weekend ❤️

Hey Tenchi Family, it’s been a while and we’ve missed you guys so much.

A very late Happy Easter to all of our friends and family. Honestly, we’re still getting used to the transition of life we’ve experienced over the last year, but it has been such a beautiful season.

We just want you to know we love you guys and we’re so grateful for each of you.

Gelin and I would love to see you all. If you ever have a free Sunday, come catch us at UNITED Church in Milford, DE at 9:00 or 10:45.
