Our team more than doubled last year. First up in a series of introductions: Julio.

You might recognize him from Borough Coffee, where he’s spent years as a manager building one of Greensboro’s best cafe experiences. He joined our production team in September and has been dialing in roast profiles to bring out what makes each origin distinct.

Above, we’re running QC on limited-run releases from two renowned producers:

Rodrigo Sánchez at Finca Monteblanco ferments Purple Caturra cherries with fresh passionfruit. Actual fruit in the tank, amplifying tropical notes the rare varietal already carries.

Katia Duke in Copán, Honduras takes a different path to complexity: Microorganism Fermentation using selected cultures to develop wine-like depth you won’t find in conventional processing.
