We have a new name! BELLE'S KITCHEN. Don't worry we will still be serving pints and plates! We decided to give our restaurant a family name. Belle's Kitchen is named after Isabelle Searfoss, next gen, first born Searfoss. She's almost six years old and the center of our universe. She loves to plan parties, bake desserts, and celebrate all life brings her way. We can't wait for your family to meet ours! Head on over and give our new page a LIKE! Belle's Kitchen Greencastle

Meet The Brew House creators!
Matt and Andrea Searfoss
Matt followed in his Dad and Searfoss family footsteps to serve our country in the US Navy. He is a hot wing connoisseur and runs so that he can enjoy a good IPA afterwards. Currently in Florida, where the gator tail and grits are on every menu, he is excited to bring his taste of the south to Greencastle in 5-8 years.
Andrea and Matt instantly fell in love when they met at a campground in Florida. Born in Illinois but raised on the beaches of Daytona, she knows the southern lifestyle like none other. She quickly became a member of the Searfoss family, and has always wanted to own and operate a business like The Brew House. (Yes, we are bribing Andrea to leave the warm Florida weather and move to cold Pennsylvania weather).

Meet The Brew House Creators!
Nick, Megan, Isabelle and Brooks Searfoss

Nick opened The Dapper House Barbershop in 2018 after finally finding his passion in not only barbering, but entrepreneurship and community involvement. He purchased the current Dapper House location in October 2021, with the dream of building a future staple of the community with his family and Hidden Key Brewing Company.
Megan graduated from Greencastle-Antrim School District in2005, and Shippensburg University in 2010. She loves Greencastle, and is the reason we are all here! (That and it’s a beautiful corner of the world, of course). Megan is a teacher and keeps us all planning for the next trip, event or holiday well in advance. She has a shirt that says, “Chaos Coordinator” and she earned the title!
Isabelle Rae was born in 2016 and immediately stole our hearts. Her grandparents cared for her after Megan returned to work - Annette (Gigi), Kevin (Papa), and Megan’s Mom, Patty Rush (Nanna) shared the days while Nick and Megan worked to allow each of us to enjoy those precious early years. Isabelle loves to plan parties, bake desserts, and generally help out with whatever we are doing.
Brooks Leland was born in 2020 - yes, during the first months of COVID-19. He is Nick in so many ways - curious and easy going. We are all watching to see how he grows and develops into his own person. He enjoys his family so much, including his Papa and Pap, and his little cousin Isla Rush.

Meet The Brew House creators!
Kevin and Annette Searfoss

We moved to Shippensburg in 1998 when Kevin retired from the Navy, and now live in Chambersburg. Both of us have enjoyed multiple restaurant and bar jobs over the years. We love to prepare and share great food and delicious drinks with family and friends.

Our Story:

Our Story began on a family vacation in Asheville, North Carolina. Yes, at the time, Asheville was known as the “Beer Capital” because it had the most breweries per capita of any US city. Nick, Matt, Megan, Andrea, Kevin, Annette, Patty and Bob had a wonderful vacation - 3 days in the city, and 3 days in the mountains with a Mama Bear and three cubs.

You see, like many of you, we LOVE breweries. We love the beer - and the relaxing atmosphere. It invites us to sit back, enjoy good company, and maybe play a game or two. This was true before Isabelle and Brooks - and is still true when the brewery is family-friendly.

While on that vacation, Annette encouraged Nick, Matt and Kevin to check out the cool barbershop there. We walked by several times, and it said “Beer” and “Hot Towel Shave” and there was a pool table visible from the window. It didn’t take much to convince them to stop by and check it out.

That was the beginning of The Dapper House. So when Nick was looking for a new building, we knew it was time to take the next step - bring the Asheville brewery vibe here to Greencastle to join The Dapper House. The former High Line Restaurant was the perfect location to be in the city, but feel like you are traveling. Between the railroad tracks and the beautiful building and grounds, we knew we could create a welcoming place for family and friends to come, relax, and take a mini-vacation right here in Greencastle.

There was one challenge, of course, and that was we did not know how to brew beer. Minor detail, right? One of Nick’s clients, Rick Houck, DID know how to brew beer (really, really delicious beer), and also had a brother (Tim Houck) and friend (Steve Bandstra) who brewed with him. And so our family grew to include The Hidden Key Brewery trio, and we embarked on a journey to be Greencastle’s FIRST brewery with great food as a place to bring family and friends for a relaxing lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch.
