From our Board of Directors

We received the news today that many of us knew was coming, but refused to fully acknowledge.

Today, one of our founding members passed after a long illness. Mrs. E.j. MacDonell Taylor

Mrs. EJ was loved by many, she adored her Scottish Family, loved seeing all the different animals that visited our Games. Regardless of the time of night when the Heilan Coo's arrived, she would come out to the stables to welcome them and visit while they were being unloaded.

She will forever be a part of our Scottish Heritage and Family.

Our sincere condolences and prayers for comfort to The Taylor family. May Mrs. EJ forever Rest in Paradise.

Thank you Audie Gibson (and family) for all the hard work you have given to the Scottish Culture and Heritage over the last 30 + years.

Thank you for your many years of dedication to preserving Scottish heritage in Northeast Florida Audie E. Gibson !

On August 8th your Saint Andrews Society of Jacksonville started a new tradition to kick off our fiftieth year: choosing someone to honor on the anniversary of our founding. Audie was an obvious choice as our first ever recipient. His influence with the committee for the Northeast Florida Scottish Games & Festival and the enduring partnership with The Saint Andrews Society of Jacksonville has been unwavering for more than three decades. That stewardship echoes in the four generations shown here and will carry on in those to come.

We thank you so much Audie for your presence and all those in attendance to celebrate this wonderful person!

Yesterday I had the honor of delivering a donation to our charity for 31st Annual Games.
Each year we choose a local organization or charity to receive a donation. For our 31st Games we chose AMIKids of Clay County. For past several years they bring out several of the students from the program to assist with set up and tear down of the festival.

Good Morning to the family and friends of our Games

I wanted to send out a heartfelt thank you to all of our Board Members, Committee Chairs, Committee Members, Sponsors, Volunteers, Vendors, Clans/Society's, Pipes and Drums, Bands, Entertainment, and most importantly ALL of the Patrons that made our 31st Annual Games a Success!

We could not have done this without everyone's help and support.
This year was a trying year. We had severe weather that hampered Vendors and Visitors traveling from up north, severe drought that threatened our Firework show, amongst other delays and hiccups. But we persevered, opened our Gates on time, and welcomed our Guests.

Planning for our 32nd Annual Games is in the works, and I cannot wait to see what it brings.

Our 32nd Annual Games will be on February 27, 2027! Hope to see everyone there!
